Default Having some trouble finding a BW turbo dealer..

Hello fellow nasioc'ers! I've been searching online trying to find a BW turbo, I've only found it on full-race.com and I've sent treadstone performance an email with no reply yet..

The one I did find is fairly priced but it's also journal bearing, do they all come journal bearing? It says water cooled and BB not applicable. Price I found was about $900, and I was expecting about 16-1800.. Not that I'm complaining, but everything I read about BW seems great including spool-up, which is why I'm asking if they managed this with a journal bearing turbo..

Any information is appreciated!!

You need to do more research. The s300sx 83-75 is the old AirWerks series turbo NOT the new EFR8374, which has a lot of new technology, and has the potential to make more power as the old 83-75 on less boost.

But there is no such thing as a S300SX 83-75 EFR.

Ok so it's 8374 not 8375? Thanks I'll look that up.

And I'm sure the twinscroll is nice but I'm also not looking to spend $5k on that kit. I'll make it by for now with a single scroll

Wow quite the price difference, from 900 to 2k. That turbo is good to 750hp and has a flow rate of 79lbs. That's overkill for my build. 68lbs/min flow rate will be just enough for me.

And from the reading I've done and videos I watched the 8375 hasn't seemed to really let anyone down.. I've seen 480whp at just 17psi on this turbo.

I just wanted to make you aware that the S300SX is NOT an EFR line turbo. It's the old AirWerks model line. You were adding the EFR on the S300SX and that simply doesn't exist. They are both great turbos though.

You don't have to spend 5k on that kit. You can buy the EFR Turbo and have the twinscroll header and up pipes custom made for a hell of a lot cheaper than that. I was quoted like 1500-1800 to make the twinscroll header/up pipes, and the v band downpipe, intercooler piping, and some other odds and ends.

If you go the twinscroll route might want to get in touch with fobiawrx, he can custom make you a kit, including headers, for less than $2k.

Have an 83-75 that should, fingers crossed, be up and running early this summer.

I did talk to Fabia. It's a risk for me though because i converted it to right hand drive and now have my brake booster and clutch reservoir on the same side as the turbo, so I will need most likely a local shop to do it for me.
