Any SPSS users here?
Just wondering if there are any SPSS experts here.
I need to find the quickest and cleanest way of exporting SPSS output files into Excel. As of now I copy the table, paste special (unicode text), and it comes out clean. However, I have to do this one table at a time. I cannot select all the tables and paste special. Any ideas on how to do this for all the tables, and have it come out looking clean (exporting in HTML format, and pasting from there just sucks)? Thanks, Doug

Don't know much about it, but it seems you can only easily do that in version 11.5 or later. Is that what you're running?

Nope, we are running 9 or something. Thanks for the link, I will try and convince the big cheese that we need an upgrade cause it will improve efficiency.

Well, I use excel for all my chart making. It is much more powerful and useful than SPSS will ever be for charts...getting the data into excel in a fast/clean way is what I am after.
I downloaded the trial, tomorrow I will test it out. Thanks! |

Try this.
http://pages.infinit.net/rlevesqu/Sa...#SampleScripts (under the Excel section) I don't have SPSS on my home machine, but one of these scripts should do the trick. To use, just produce your output tables as you normally would. Then open this script file and run it--it should automatically open Excel and transfer all tables in your output window there. |

Side question: can you change the chart intervals in v.11.5? The version I have just "chooses" intervals for each axis and it drives me nuts.

ugh. I hate SPSS. Er, perhaps I just don't care about statistics so it bores me to death.
Have fun with that Doug. |
