Xluben, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the Blitz Nur R exhaust & was curious if there was a reason you haven't touched this one...yet? I kinda figure you're the authoriti on exhausts since you've gone through your fair share of them. I like the Ark Grip but not crazy with how the exhaust flows more freely from just one side, unless that's been addressed by Arc since it came out. The craftsmanship on the Blitz looks really good and the sound (IMO) is what I'm looking for. I currently have the SPT and I actually like the sound, but the gap kinda irritates me. I like the way the Greddy fits better than the SPT but the sound isn't as deep to me. Opinion? Thanks in advance.

I believe it's pretty loud and that's not what I'm looking for. I also don't like the single wall tips. Looks cheap to me.

It's not about the research I was more valuing your opinion in the change you felt from switching considering all the changes you make, you always seem to have a very descriptive review about the effect of it. That's all! Ps. Already read unabombers faqs just looking for opinions thanks as always

Yeah I get your point about the tips, but I'd get them ceramic coated anyways. From the sound clips I could find it doesn't sound loud at all, maybe I need a miracle ear

I'm sufficiently confused and infact a bit miffed.

Why did you take a pair of JDM TS headers off the market only to run a SS turbo?!

Jealous and a half, Ben.

1.5 scroll!

Also, I forgot to clarify: That turbo setup isn't mine. I just helped wrap it and took some photos.

So you may have answered already but how are the altimax on the stockers comparing to the steelies you had. I'm contemplating doing the same thing but I feel like the narrower taller tire probably handles better.

1.5 scroll seems to be a combo of weight and expensive that improves nothing in the turbo system.

I still vote you rotate.

Huh? What don't you already have? Your OP says you have all the bushings and an adjustable shifter. Did you not have the STi shifter when you bought the WRX?

Speaking of bushings I don't see in your list: Steering rack and rear diff. You will not be disappointed.

I probably won't have them in for a couple weeks. I will be going from completely stock to the full kit all at once. A friend of mine that is a Subaru master mechanic said he feels the linkage bushings make the biggest difference, I will not be doing a write up myself. Xluben is right, most of the install is either on YT, TIC's own site or the popular forums. Documenting would just make it take longer for me to install and not benefit anyone IMO. I will document measurements from reference points if I can to see any difference in reduction of play in the shifter though.

Google TIC holy shift kit. I believe he has only the kartboy bushings of that kit currently installed.

The tires I have on now are narrower than stock but wider than what I had on the 16's. The shorter sidewall does make things a little firmer but not a huge difference. On the 16's it's definitely a very soft, squishy feeling. If you want corner handling on dry pavement then the General's aren't your best bet.

I just have the front and rear Kartboy shifter bushings. I'm going to finish off the tiC Holy Shift kit soon. I honestly don't expect it to do much. The shifter bushings that were already replaced were very soft. The ones left are already reasonably firm.

I think the tic bushings are supposed to fit tighter rather than be firmer thus removing slop, I hope anyways!

Have you seen/felt the stock ones in those locations? They are already a press fit and fairly firm. I'm guessing the TIC ones are even firmer, but I'm guessing it is a very, very minor change in overall feel.

No I haven't. The tic ones feel like hard plastic though. Will be interesting to see the difference it makes.

TICs fit just like OEM; I know from personal experience and yes they are a lot firmer.

Yeah, I don't know how the OEM ones are but I can't see anything besides a metal bushing being any firmer than the tic's and I don't even really think metal would be any different, I don't feel any give in them.

Group N Transmission Mount
Transmission Crossmember bushings (TiC)
Shift lever pivot bushings (TiC)
Shift linkage bushings (TiC)

I did all of those at the same time and notices a large difference in the general feel of the drivetrain. Prior to these I did front and rear stay bushings, KB SS, and a heavier knob. All-in-all it's some of the best money I've put into my WRX.

I haven't really found any tips for getting to the rear stay bushing, it seems that one of the bolts is blocked by the drive shaft can anyone chime in? did you guys remove the mid pipe for access or can it be done with it on. I might be over complicating this job as I haven't looked too closely from underneath, I've just seen write ups and videos.

I kept seeing your wheel whoring in the Mach V Awesome thread and I finally noticed the front mount, which brings me here... holy ***** this thing sleeps. I'm going to put off reading the books I received for xmas just to go through this great build thread.

The rear bushing is a real PITA. You can do it without removing the mid pipe, I did anyway. Only tip I can give you is to get the passengers side bolt threaded in a little bit first, and then work on the drivers side. It is very difficult to install lol good luck
