Not that this is the best example or that I have much more than a couple days worth of practice using HDR, but I am assume the best use of HDR is shooting in conditions that would otherwise be impossible to get all the shadows/highlights correct with just one image. It is the combination of 3 or more that are over/under/properly exposed to show you the details in the shadows and the in the highlights simultaneously. Again, not a great pic, but a good example of how HDR could be used. There is detail in the shadows AND the sunset is visible, not just a blown out white skyline. I don't think this shot would be possible with just 1 exposure.

There is a lot of detail lost on the WRX on the left. The flare is out of control. It's obvious people moved around between the shots as some are ghosts. Anyway, enough excuses.

85 on a crop wont be too bad. my friend shoots the 135 on his 7d. that's a little tougher.

Yeah I was a little worried about it but after seeing some of the sample shots people were getting I couldn't say no. If I need a wider angle I have a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and a 50mm 1.8 as well.

Plus I wanted a longer reach lens for ALMS next week and this should give me enough to hold me over until I pony up the cash for the 70-200 f/4 IS.

here's my shot with a 85 on a crop. i believe it was shot at 1.8, doesnt look like 3.6 how i normally shoot with it.

i'd like to have a 35mm and a 70-200 2.8 ver.1 someday. but i also want to build my car lol.

Do any of you use the canon 28 - 135? Was thinking of getting one but haven't made up my mind.

I have a t1i right now.

More with multiple polarizations. Lots of reflections when shooting in the trees.

You're catching on quite fast. I'm jealous. I need to get out and shoot more. Just don't know a lot of good location around me.
