wipe some vasoline on the first bend and put it threw the fender air filter side first try not to push it past its mounting location as it will be scratched when you pull it back out. why did that sound so sick

So you say start from the top(bay) and the filter end will fit through the hole? I though you go from the wheel well in.

I spent over 10 hours on this install because i was trying to do the wrong hole... stupid of me. Anyway, make sure you have a tuned map for this intake as i was told you needed one (so i had one ready). But, go from the top of the wheel well down, and take off the inside of the passenger side tired (no need for the front bumper unless you took that off to get out the intake resonator already). Slide it in there at the right angle (wow that sounds bad) and play around with it some. It will probably get scratched up as the fitment is brutal (IMO), but it is a great sounding intake on my 06 sti =)

I know for a fact on their website they say in big lettering that you need a tune for the 70mm. I am not sure regarding the 65mm yet i would assume so without a doubt. Email them and ask.
