Thumbs down Vishnu Performance - XEDE is NOT available for the STi

The XEDE for the STis' are NOT for sale now, because I ordered one in October and I have still not received it. Vishnu told me that the XEDE threw check engine lights so they sent them all back to australia. That is their excuse for the delay in shipment. Either they are lying or their XEDE is broken. Either way, the XEDE is NOT available.

Try to call them and leave a message but their answering machine is full.

If your card was charged, then that's one thing. But if it hasn't, then what's there to complain about?

Default Vishnu Performance Problems...

I have never had a problem getting simple parts from anyone. Gruppe-S has always been VERY good about e-mails and product delivery.

I ordered FUEL RAILS, one of the main Items Vishnu specializes in back in early November. I have had no responses from them since the purchase date and I have not recieved anything from them like an e-mail, call, etc. $500 for what???

The past 3 days they wont answer my calls either and the mail ox to leave messages is FULL.

These rails are the only thing keeping my car off the street.

William-- Very unSatisfied customer.

I should have just bought the Perrin Fuel Rails--

Hey Greenracer, you should try to get them. They are very good, but I think busy. I know it is not an excuse, but I can guarantee they are not going to leave you hanging. As soon as they discover this mishap, they will be in touch with me and try to remedy the situation.

Oh, and please do not hesitate to rereview them under this thread after you make contact with them. That is one way to be fair.

I wouldn't be troubled if I was not promised the XEDE in the first week of November. That's right, I ordered the XEDE in October and they said they will ship it out in the first week of November. then I called back in mid November to see what was going on. They told me we had a delay in shipping and are going to ship it out either later this week or the following week. That was in mid November. Then in the first week of December, I called again and they told me that they had a CEL problem with the XEDE and are expecting corrected XEDE soon.

But the thing that troubles me is that I hear from Vishnu and other Nasioc members of how well the XEDE performs and NEVER heard of a CEL problem period.

So the only conclusion is that they are lying to me OR they are covering up the CEL problem.

you have to remember that the XEDE's that Vishnu uses are also for the WRX STi( when they get fixed) and the EVO's
i know that their not trying to string you along. if they dont have it then they cant ship it.
latt time i was there they had a huge box of them. they all run frantically to get them off to the waiting customers.
heck i had to wait a while to get the one for my EVO.
was it worth the wait? YES it was! i'd do it again in a heartbeat!

also what would you have said if you did get the XEDE and it threw a CEL? i think you'd be more upset. be thankefull that they take the time to make sure its 100% perfect.

one last thing the sales staff is moving next door so they can actually hear you when Shivs on the dyno( thats pretty much all day long!)

I dont mind giving props to vendors with excellent cutomer srvice but this is crazy.

They were quick to respond that they had them for my car when I e-mailed them the first time...but they lied, they never "had" the rails, they were making some and hoping I had time to wait on. Now my car is down on their account, not mine.

I have a new engine and T66 Turbo setup that I cant weld up and get running without those rails. They know this and dont care == me angry with a built motor on a bench at a shop waiting for those rails.

I went and spent $2000.00 on a TEC2 kit for my car. Ive been calling and e-mailing to see if Vishnu could "recomend" someone to tune my TEC2 since I live in NJ. Have I gotten any response? I love my TEC2, but at this point, I feel like I wasted my money.

I am just about ready to cancel my order if they dont respond
this YEAR.

This is one of the worst companies for customer service I have dealt with. Ever.

Sounds like Vishnu's customer service has taken a nosedive. I ordered a couple of parts from them, and they both took longer to get to me than what they had promised. Although, it didn't take nearly as long to get to me, than it has been for you guys. Their products as quality stuff, though. I am very pleased with what I have.
I need engine management for my vf34, and wouldn't mind the xede, but after hearing all of this, I really don't want to take the chance.
Sure wish Vishnu would chime in and respond to this.

I heard about all the hub-bub about vishnu's customer service sucking...so i did a lil test buy...intercooler hoses...took about 20 days to get them from my purchase date...but i kept sending emails like crazy with my ordernumber...and i got a response and they charged it and it arrived 3 days later. So i decided if i have to wait a few weeks for a quality product...i can deal with it...since now i will be going on a lil vishnu shopping spree i think it's worth the wait. BTW they're seriously understaffed and busy with tuning and R&D like crazy...so i hear...it's funny cuz u almost get the impression that Brett and Shiv run the whole show by themselves. But hey i got my hoses, i'm satisfied and i got a response with minimal effort. Now to lay down some serious moolah.

Default hoses

You bought hoses, that were in stock, and are not really a problem to get because everyone with a slow WRX with small mods gets them.

Things like fuel rails (that they dont tell you are custom made when you order them) are not in stock, which is fine too, as long as you TELL THE CUSTOMER.

Sorry I'm pissed off at them for getting your order through when I ordered something simple too, on NOVEMBER 10TH.

Still no reply at all from Vishnu.

Default 2 credit cards almost raped at vishnutuning.com !

I had a ECUtec dyno tune last Sept and a friend had a retune. He found 2 weeks later an identical transaction on his credit card (charged twice). He was able to resolve this by phone.
01/08/04, After not dealing with Vishnu since my tune in Sept , i now see a charge for almost $900.00 appear on my statement from Vishnu. I call, they tell me i ordered an EXCEDE system. Not! - they are in progress on returning the funds.

I recommend finding other methods to pay for product from vishnu, - 2 out of 2 with the same encounter is pretty sad (for them).
What a waist of time to have to deal with this kind of monkey business. What a waist of time to have to write this note.

vishnu may know how to tune subarus, though when it comes to running a biz, these guys are half retarded.

i have sent them my unichip 2 weeks before thanksgiving. they keep telling me the machine was down, and they were getting it fixed... and then like 3 weeks ago i received a email from ken at vishnu. stating they will send it to me next week. 3 weeks went by nothing. emailed them, no reply, called them, no one picks up. the hell is up with that? very bad customer service. very bad... after i recieved my unichip, this will be the last time im ever dealing with them.
