Generally not a fan of directional wheels but those are looking nice.

Drums to Discs , bought the rotors/calipers/pads from a member on here. Brand new off of a 2012 WRX with 3k miles on them.

Bought the knuckle/hub assembly off eBay from a salvage yard in Wisconsin. They didn't specify what year.. only from an 09,10, or 11.

Cost me about $500 all said and done including labor. I think the brake bias might catch slightly first in the rear due to the valve being slightly larger but it is hardly noticeable.

My stopping power is now on point.

- Grimmspeed master cylinder brace

- Stoptech street pads up front

- Powerslot slotted front rotors (doesn't really matter)

- Stoptech S.S. Braided lines all around

- OEM discs in the rear with OEM pads

Drums..

Discs..

Braided lines..

My reason was that I had 65k on my drums going into another winter. They would stutter pretty bad going from 70 to a stop. Just bugged me. Figured the investment was totally worth it because it really didn't cost me too much. They look way better, they drive so much better than the drums. Easier to change brake pads now too.

If you can source parts for cheap and get a deal on labor or have the proper tools and equipment to do it yourself I highly recommend it.

I wonder if the proportioning valve is different for drum brake car? I'd hate to be in snow or ice and have those clamp down faster than they should. I suppose ABS system will compensate though.

My 2.5i, i've owned the car for almost 3 years, kind of a desperation buy as my old car (1992 camry) blew up. Decided to buy a new or semi new car. It was this or an accord and i don't regret it.

Didn't really plan on doing much to the car but it needed tires soon and i hated the OEM 16's so i bought some RPf1ss, not really dead set on keeping them, the gold just really bugs me, looks great at night but during the day they look.. off.

Not much else i plan on doing to the car, maybe upgrade the suspension mostly because the car sits uneven, and its slow, just the way i like it. Never taken the car past 80mph, 50k miles owned.

and here it is next to a new STI, argghh if i had the funds, such an amazing car

They'd look good on my Newport Blue Pearl 2.5i. What size exactly are they? Do they make those in 8" width? I thought for some reason those were 7.5".

They were 17x8, they never made the gold ones in 7.5. traded them off though this weekend to a fellow naisoc member for some 17x8 TE37's, i might have these powdercoated something different once the tires wear out

on a side note, anyone elses car sit uneven on stock suspension? i was hesitating on lowering it until next summer but its seriously bugging me now, it almost a half inch lower in the rear. shocks in the rear look fine too and i can count the number of times someone has sat in my rear seats on one hand

Look at a WRC rally car set up for gravel and you start to understand why..

Or maybe it's a coincidence.
