FT86club has a pie graph out regarding color. Of the members that preordered on that specific forum, nearly half are WRB.

Correct. Most every dealer has done refundable deposits so you can get your cash back if you don't like the price. If you think you might want one it was a no-brainer to put an order in for the trim/color/transmission you wanted. If you don't like it, you could always pass on the car after the prices are released or the car hits the dealer.

I think he's referring to the way you can index your camber plates on a current Subaru for the amount of camber you want for autocross and when you get to an event you simply jack the front end up, loosen the camber plates and slide the strut tops inward (and snug them down again). This adds both camber and toe-out due to the location of the steering rack. It means you can easily swap between street and track alignment settings.

The BRZ is going to require more work.

Ah.... so, we can slam the plates, and then just get the toe close with a few turns on the adjusters.

Just sounds like I will add camber and fix the toe at home to be slightly out, and then leave myself some "wiggle room" for more camber, based on the surface and conditions.

That, or run tons of rate and bar to eliminate a lot of dynamic camber movement (I don't know if that is possible ) and I am slightly lazy

^^^^ This...
on older cars...when you cambered...the car automatically with Toe out... = Good...
now with the different steering..it will Toe in when Cambered...sooo you have to adjust it back out to get the toe correct..then adjust it back in when you want to run normal DD settings...

Or... just set the camber, drive it, and don't worry about the front end camber setting as much!

(does it matter on RWD when you can get the car to rotate now?)

Where are you getting your Whiteline parts?

Just curious since there hasn't been any word from them on development.

I wonder if we will be able to custom tune the electric steering for more or less response with aftermarket gear?

Are you worried at all that putting that mutch rubber on this car will make it feel slow?

I've read multiple times that part of the reason they used Prius tires is to allow the car to be playful with it's limited power output. I'm hoping that the tuners will be able get it to around 200hp at the rears NA.

He's doing this for autocross... not the street. If it feels slow he'll be doing something right.

The Prius tire thing is a bunch of BS. They're 240 treadwear tires. Not great, but not at all slippery. They are the tires from the JDM Prius sports package and aren't standard equipment on any US Prius. The BRZ is playful at the limit because Subaru did a fantastic job of tuning the car to be predictable at the limit.
