JDMSTA,
I have a question for you, the only way to remove the headlights is to remove the bumper cover?

You'll have to remove the whole front bumper off.

Blackmamba24kb
did you retrofit yours too? Any pictures of the finish fogs?

You see the leveling screws, I do not want to loose those, that would be the only way to adjust the fog lights, and the mounting points/brackets need to be retained as well.

How about ES300 foglights?
What do they look like? I am planning to do something like these pictures here from the retrofit source. I want to keep the actual base and put something inside of them.

How many hours? Or how many bolts? Any pointers? Suggestions? That is why I wanted to buy another set of lights before, I do the retrofit. I just want to take off the old ones and carefully install the retrofited lights.

Consider that it was my very 1st time ever retrofitting so it did took me all day to do it because I was taking my time making sure I don't mess anything up. If I was to do it again, it'll probably take me half the time. Taking the bumper off is really easy. its mostly clips and a few bolts if I can remember correctly. For the headlights. There's about 5 screw bolts and 1 clip per side. Hope that helps.

You actually do not have to remove the entire bumper. I will do a write up this weekend. I can have both lights pulled in under 20 minutes.

Very similar to IS300's yellow foglights.

Here's a series of pictures from one of the retrofitters:

I find it easier to remove it out of the way. But that's just me.

I see, but I do not have a lot of room in the OEM housing, but looking on how they do the fog light retrofits, another question comes up? how do you seperate the lens from the fog light body?

Thanks for the suggestions, I have a lot to think about and the final plan on what to do with my headlights. I will keep you posted, I am working on some LED's signal mirrors retrofit, the OEM signals are not bright enough for me. They should have not smoked the lenses, and used more LED's inside the mirror. But, then I will not be having the fun that I am having now retrofitting them. I will post pictures and maybe a step by step once I am done.

Opening a foglight for retrofit should be no different from opening the housing of a headlight. When butyl rubber is used, separating them involves a heat gun or the oven method (I could even use a household hair dryer for my retrofit). When it is the permaseal type, separating the lens is more of an exercise in patient brute force. My guess is most fog light housings use permaseal.

For that particular retrofit, they made a custom housing, with the outer lens vacuum formed from flat clear plastic, afaik.

If you chose a sealed foglight to begin with, then the most you need to do is to put in a filler if there's a gap left by the smaller foglight (e.g. Hella Micro DE).

I seen a you tube video where the guy used a roto-zip tool to seperate the lens from the body of the fog light, and then he used butyl rubber as a sealant when he put everything back together.

Anyone here from Canada? I would like to see what the back of your HID headlights look like? How is the low beam capsule (bulb) covered? Where is the auto-leveling motor mounted?

I ordered the angel eyes from The Retrofit Source. Both the angel eyes and the corner leds are white in color but my phone camera somehow produce a blue tint to it.

What size is the halo ring? 130MM 145MM , I know they are open on top but , the effect that I am trying to get is the same as the E46 BMW that has the halo around the frame of the headlight and not the projector. I think its less than 145MM cause the one I bought it's a complete circle, and is way too big. I am shipping those back in the morning. These look like they would fit, it's for a LEXUS IS200-300

In order for mines to fit behind the shroud, I ordered the 100mm ones.
