Default In CT: 2005 STi 6MT blown + 2005 LGT 5MT bad bearing+ 3.90 R160+ DRIVESHAFTS

*** 2005 STi 6MT with ~60kmi that we think blew 4th gear as the car was being dynoed in that gear when the failure occured. The shifter is stuck in 4th and when we drained the fluid, some pieces/teeth drained out too. Rebuild-able, of course, but the full extent of damage is unknown.
Sold to TEXY32

***2005 Legacy GT 5MT ~105k mi, has a main rear bearing failure but is still driving ok but makes a whining noise in all forward gears. Transmission Shifts smooth as butter and does not pop out of gear or anything funny. This gearbox has been adapted to work in an older impreza or legacy, as i have installed the speed sensor gear that is necessary for this application.
$SOLD to TEXY32

Both are to be sold as is, if you need shipping then you can arrange for this.

*** I have a 2006 Impreza 3.90 R160 open rear diff with 40k mi Great for 6MT swap

Let me see if this is a possibility, I will have to talk to my friend who I listed this for to see if he wants to part it out this early. I know he is hoping for complete sale.

Thanks

if you have the 4.11 gears then you dont need my rear diff and the axel stubs just depend on whether or not you have male or female axles on the 07
(impreza ? is it).

thank you

yes, its an 07 wrx, My trans is starting to make a lot of bearing noise, so I figured now would be a great time for me to buy an upgrade for the drivetrain. If i'm going to need to rebuild anyway, might as well rebuild something stronger.

Oh ok, sounds like you may have the same problem as mine. If you have somebody that knows what they're doing to help rebuild it I'm sure it would be really nice for an upgrade. What is the final drive gearing on your wrx?

3.7:1 IIRC. I was told I could pull a R&P from an old outback, and use that in my R160. Of course, I would much rather just find a new diff to swap the entire unit at once.

ok well let me know what you would like to do, i still need to pull the drivetrain from this car but if you are interested i can have that ready next weekend. oh one last thing i think you will need to change your clutch unless your wrx trans has a push type clutch? I dont think it does.

Do you still have the LGT transmission? Is it from a 2005-2007 legacy gt?

Oops, sorry, I'm going to have to pass, I didn't realize how expensive it was going to put to replace the ring and pinion to 3.90:1 in these.

Sorry again for any confusion in your sale.

It's fine. but it is very easy to change the ring gear to 3.90 i have done this and seen it done before, changing the pinion is unnecessary. LMK if you are still interested. thanks.
