i love this thread!! thanks again for the info! now to buy the bulbs.

anyone have a hard time getting the cover off the cargo area of the 5 door wagon? i couldnt get the cover off the cargo light. is it the same bulb as the dome and map lights?
Same type of bulb. I want to say it was the same size as the map lights. Use a small flathead screwdriver like the manual shows. It's easy.

I managed to get 30 LED bulb in mine, with modification. The thing is almost blinding, but it certainly helps with the night time visibility.

Do you have any idea how to replace the sidemarker light/"eyebrow" lights on the front headlights?

I can't seem to find any other way to change that bulb aside from removing the entire headlight (unscrew it, and replace the bulb the hard way).

Dealer doesn't have to disclose it, but it should be on the piece of paper that Subaru gave you after you picked up the car (the 'invoice statement', noting everything they did during the appointment)

If not, they might not have done it, or it was covered under the 27-point inspection if that was done.

All you need to do is bring it in and have them connect their computer to it, and they can tell you whether it's up to date or not. Call ahead though

I've more or less replaced all halogen bulbs with LEDs and HIDs in my car. eBay seems to be a good place to buy the bulbs.

That should be most of them.

try using the voice setup to pair the bluetooth. someone else on the forum had this problem, and it also worked with my android. when i used the head unit to pair it, it wouldn't auto connect either.

Yes. The command is "setup" but you might have to try "help" i did on my car anyway

While we are on the topic of bluetooth, is there a way to get the head unit to display caller names as opposed to the phone number? This is the HU I have.

PKL, on the LED swap did you require a resistor for the turn signal bulbs? Otherwise all other LED bulbs worked fine?

There is a way. You have to program the contacts on the head unit. It doesn't just pull the info from your phone or sync like the other models do.

Does anyone else find themself yelling while using hands free? After a conversation im out of breath from how much effort is involved yelling for an entire conversation. lol if i dont speak up loud enough the people on the line say they cant hear me.

is it a crappy mic? or is it just common for hands free in general?

No experience with the BT mic on the car but I find myself yelling and giving the handful Bird to people that cut me off (from behind the tint...lol). Those stock horns are horrible.

Not me, you can adjust the volume on the headunit, maybe it increases mic sensitivity?

Out of curiousity I copared the 12 to the 13 Impreza.

These facts arent correct are they?

The 13's have better gas millage?

Whats the deal with the 265hp? WRX/STI?

Nah,

My 2012 Sport has 265hp, but I only get 33 mpg highway...

19/25 seems to be the WRX fuel economy numbers. Fuel economy isnt any different between '12/'13 Impreza models (save the XV)

Default WRX wheels

For the folks putting 16" WRX wheels on their 2012+ Imprezas, how do you figure the 1/2" narrower wheels? Most of the WRX oem feet are 16"x6.5" while the sport alloys are 17x7" wide.

It'd be nice to have more tire in the winter and for crappy fire roads, but giving up a combined 2" of contact on the road seems like a deal breaker.

first off, it is actually better to have narrower tires for snow driving. second, even though our wheel are 7 inches wide, the oem tires are 205 wide. usually a 7 inch wheel uses a 215mm size tire. just saying.
