is there a simple way to make the locks unlock with one push?
i hate the fact that there is no option to make all the doors unlock with one push of the button on the remote. wth.

I don't mind pushing the fob twice, but sometimes it takes forever to get the doors unlocked if a passenger is trying to open them.
One time a passenger pulled the handle right when I was unlocking the door, and the little switch on the inside got stuck halfway between lock and unlock. I had to go in the car an unlock it myself. The '05 key fob is horrible Don't even get me started about how many times my alarm has gone off when my fob was in my pocket. |

On my wifes' Forester.. the locks get stuck half-way quite often... In part because the range SUCKS... It works maybe 15ft away... so you get the first chirp and then sometimes the 2nd doesn't get there.. and then you try again.. and by that time, the passenger has already tried to open the door... Hence the stuck lock.
I have replaced the batteries in both fob's and they still suck. I know on aftermarket remote starters.. (which I install) you can make the unlock do a double pulse which will automatically unlock all doors...when you press unlock once. As far as factory key fob, I am not sure if you can program a 'double pulse' effect. Absubtle PA |
