Will it work?

I would think it would, but since the crosstrek isn't out yet, it'd be impossible to know for sure.

Why would you want to? They appear to be the exact same as on the '12 Imp.

I think there is a slight difference in the "wings" of the grille IIRC. Of course the only pictures I've seen are of the pre-production version so they may change it.

Edit: I just looked at subaru's website and it appears as though the grille on the XV has one "wing" that flows underneath the Subaru logo.

It's a bit different. Just out of curiosity. There are already a half dozen blue '12 wagons that I see on a regular basis; I'd like to go to the right one in the mall lot.

I see it now, the chrome dips below the logo instead of stopping & starting again.

The optional sport grill still looks better.

I suppose one could. I saw one done that way and it was not my taste.
I agree with the blackout theme but I prefer keeping just the Subaru Stars and chrome surround badge as it came on the car. It's pretty.
One could also wait for a crosstrek owner to upgrade to the sport grille and buy the OEM crosstrek grill cheap off them.

I just did what someone else on the forums did and painted my spare stock grille with krylon fusion gloss black. Also not a huge fan of the look of plasti dip.

I'll post pics when I get it on the car.

I might do something like the Satoshi grill mod for Tacomas.

I'm kind of curios as to how that would look.
