Yeah, just like last time. Last time the timeline was something like:

-go to bar trivia
-leave at 11
-goto hospital, she thinks she's leaking, they say no. we go home.
-get home at 2 or so
-get up to go to work at 7
-get to work, get call at 11,water broke
-dad drives me to hospital
-get into triage, then room by 1 p.m.
-wait forver
-Rex born at 3:30 a.m
-finally get to sleep at 5:30 a.m

that was a long frickin day

Mom took the little one off to a friends, so I took our son up to the reservoir to skip rocks.

It's about a mile hike in, walked upon two college aged girls sunbathing, tops on (doh! lol)

He had a blast, then proceeded to poop his pants, diapers were a mile back at the car, he got tired about an 1/8th of a mile back and wanted to be carried ... yay me.

Still had a fun time though.

Also topped it off with a trip to the local pre-owned lux car dealer to take a look at a C5 Z06.

I think the sales guy was impressed when my 2.5 year old pointed out the ferrari and corvette in the showroom (348 spider was covered) Proud papa moment.

Congrats Meat! To quote my old high school football coach who called me on the day our first was born, "now you know what your purpose is don't you?". No one ever explained it better to me. Once you create a life yours changes forever. Now you no longer live a selfish life full of wasting time.

Ava and Jonah turned 2 on Friday. I can hardly believe this much time has passed.

Raising these two has been, without question, the hardest, most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. They have brought me to tears...and have made me laugh hysterically in the same moment. I could never have imagined what this experience would have been like if I was not experiencing it for myself.

Some days I feel like my home is some sort of crazy house institution. I have cheerios in my ear, Ava has painted her face white with desitin, Jonah is spinning wildly and yelling like a robot dinosaur. I am exhausted, yet jittery from the coffee and I feel like I fit in perfectly.

I'll be in my fort if you need me.

We're in range now. Midterms are over next week then whenever he's ready, he'll arrive!

He'll probably be riding around in a moby most of B8D, either with Jared, me, or my Mom. Either that or no BxD for anyone!

Good job knocking your juice in the wife and watching her internally nurture that little one for the past 9 months. Fatherhood will be a fun challenging experience and has already changed your life in wonderful ways that only becoming a parent can.

again (and seriously) Congrats

Got Jack some shades yesterday. He's pale skinned, like his dad, so I figured he'd like some sun protection. Plus, he looks rad in them.
he turned 12 weeks Sunday.

(trying to post from our shutterfly, let me know if you can't see it, I can see it, but that might just be my cache).

You know, since I took that picture yesterday, I've been trying to figure out what it reminds me of, and THAT'S IT! Where's Derpman, I need a chop!

And he is devilishly cute. And loves flirting with the ladies - took him to the wife's tennis match Sunday, and he was chilling in his Bjorn until the other ladies came around, then he was smiling at all of them. Playa in Trianing, I tell you.

I never would have thought too much about this a couple years ago, but i found this a little interesting. It concerns "per pupil funding" based on location in Michigan.

Why are students in one county, worth more than students in another?

Quote:
Schools like TCAPS receive the minimum allowance of $6,846 per student. To make his point, Soma points out that students in Birmingham Schools received $11,744 and Bloomfield Hills students were funded at $11,854.
http://www.upnorthlive.com/news/stor...4#.T2qhKsUgd2A

So what gives? we all pay taxes, presumably equal, not counting local or city taxes so much. I've used to live downstate, it's at least worse than or equal to northern Michigan, so I have at least that much perspective.
