I can't believe there is NO ordering info out on any 2012 Subaru models yet.

I can. '12 cars are not arriving until fall. It's all quake-related.

Agreed! Aren't the 2012s typically available in august? That's not too far away! I really hope I don't have to wait until October/November

Did you read any of the thread or watch the news? The earthquakes in Japan are pushing vehicle manufacturing back a few months.

Even if they are pushed back on the delivery, I was still hoping the specs would come out about the same time

The Subaru/VW dealership that is near me has cleared out all of the '11 Imprezas a couple of weeks ago.
Mine has 20 Imprezas & 3 WRXs.

Manchester Subaru has an account on here and they have stated that they are getting a shipment of 12 WRX/STis in July/August. So at least we know the 11's will still be around until then.

My first Subie was my 07 NA Impreza. I loved it. It outperformed my Jeep Cherokee in the Winter snow, and was a blast to drive. I have kids and I needed to upgrade in size, due to LOTS of driving for parenting time after a recent divorce. Traded in for an 09 Legacy SE last year. However, 20/26 mpg is killing me now that gas prices are rising. (And lucky for me....Chicagoland has the highest in the country.)

27/36 mpg is whats going to sell me on this car. I miss being an Impreza owner....even though I LOVE my Leggy. But she's drinking my wallet dry. I don't even get the wave anymore from Impreza owners...lol.

Me too. Comparable space and 10mpg more compared to my big, boring Forester has me wanting one. And I'd dump the Miata too.

It's a large dealership in Subie country, so their inventory is usually pretty good. Plus they often seem to receive some of the first shipments of new cars... probably from being a big dealer a few hours from Subaru's port of entry nearest to Japan.

The dealership near me is pretty big too. It never seems to have any performance Subie's around.
From '10-present I've seen only:

1 LGT
1 Leggy 2.5i / 6mt
4 STI
3. WRX all limited versions

I do see some 3.6r and Forrester XT

The dealership is also sells VW and they always have a good supply of GTIs.

I actually looked hard at the Forester beforer I bought my Legacy. My days of owning a Jeep has me missing the SUV versatility of a vehicle. Luckily, it looks like the new Sport package will fill that void in the new Impreza. I am anxiously waiting for more news on this car.

You don't have to...

I sold my wife's SF much quicker than expected and we had a 6 wk wait for her Flex. No other choice but to rent a car in the meantime. It was worth the wait.

Rental companies have great long-term rentals rates. - Shop around
