Where to buy OEM parts
I know there are a few other threads but they are dated. So where is the best place to get oem parts for a good price?

Do a search for "OEM parts". There's a thread on this once a week.

If you're having a hard time finding a particular part, head down to your local Subaru Dealership; their prices will end up being a bit higher in most cases but sometimes it's the only way to track down misc. clips/bolts/etc. Being friends with some of the employees and getting their discount doesn't hurt, so maybe I'm a bit biased

Celtic Motorsport has an awesome store on ebay with "GENUINE" Subaru OEM parts NOT the stuff from CHINA. They offer free delivery as well.

Idk how much I trust "GENUINE" parts. It's almost like having "FRESH" burger meat, I'd go for Fred Beans or SGP if ordering online. My local dealer price matches so its not an issue for me

When I say "Genuine", I mean actual Subaru parts in Subaru boxes and bags. My dealer use to sell me my Subie parts at wholesale prices but a new management regime came in and stopped that. For $265, I could have had the entire Gates timing belt kit w/ water pump, thermostat etc, etc. but Celtic sells the "Real genuine kit" from Subaru for $634 shipped. I know I could have saved over $300 if I bought the Gates kit but for me, buying the actual parts that came on the car gives me more piece of mind. Also, I think it's worth the extra money since it's the first time in 175,000 miles I've done it.

What's a good place to buy oem parts with reasonable shipping charges? I'm looking mostly for brakes and regular maintenance items, like filters, gaskets ect. |

I usually buy OEM stuff online using parts.subaru.com and select to pick it up from a dealer nearby.

Where to buy OEM parts
The best place is directly from your dealer or online through Subaru direct. It's more expensive but you get peace of mind. I buy all OEM parts unless it's an upgradable item like rotors, engine performance, bushings, etc.
One of my favorite companies to get OEM and HIGH Quality aftermarket parts is FastWRX.com |

Ones I have used recently (usually I use Heuberger because it's faster for me) https://parts.bestbuysubaru.com/ (Heuberger Subaru in Colorado) https://www.subaruonlineparts.com (Grand Prix Subaru in NY) https://estore.subarupartswarehouse.com/ (Premier Subaru in CT) https://www.1stsubaruparts.com/ (Hanson Subaru in WA) Only time I use the local dealer is for regular maintenance (oil filters and things like coolant) or for large parts that are expensive to ship (replaced the trim pieces on the roof of my legacy) - you are paying MSRP+ at the dealership here, so unless it's something small where shipping eats up the savings, I get it online. |

Find a dealership that’s close, a lot of times they have excess parts.

Question is which products do you want to buy OEM? Some reliable auto parts are also very good (1AAuto, RockAuto, etc.). Even Ebay and Amazon has OEM products. For essential components (like bearing or gaskets) that you don't trust anything else other than OEM, then go with the dealer, and compare between dealer sites as mentioned above, some site offer cheaper price + shipping than the others for the same items.
