Default Making sure i phrase this properly (Does Nasioc condone the use of these in posts?)

I am using this post to share with the community and top level management (there must be some level of management) my frustration and disgust with Nasioc allowing anyone to associate racially stereotypical pictures or captions with posts of any kind within this forum.

Before anyone tells me that these captions are not racially stereotypical, I would ask for a second you pretend that caption is yourself. I will stand up and say that the majority of this dipictions are of african american decent and primarily dipicitons of lower income stature. There must be a better way for members to get their point accross than to use racially stereotypical pictures; i would hope.

If Nasioc approves of the use of these images being associated with posts, then I will not return to this site (which would be no ones choice but my own). Just in case someone believes this is a one sided issue, i would take offense to any dipictions of racially sterotypical captions or pictures being used.

I am I fraile, butt hurt, or being overly sensitive..........no i have a ligitimate beef; especailly since this is a diverse community.

**Take note that i never once said that this site, members, or the posting of the captions mentioned above were racist. I am saying that they are racially insensitive and racially sterotypical and none the less trashy.

Whether it be a gif like above of a black kid eating a watermelon, a gif of a white person dressed as a hipster, a gif of an asian eating rice, a gif of a mexican mowing a lawn, etc. it's just for the sake of humor.

This isn't going to change. If you aren't able to accept a joke for what it is-a joke-then you're going to have a hard time around here. I am incredibly *not* racist. Some of my best friends have been black, mexican, and my current roommate is asian. I hate gangster, ghetto people of any color. But if they are normal people then race makes no difference to me. That being said, I think the above gif of a black kid eating a watermelon is absolutely ****ing hilarious.

i dont know what you expect but its the ****ing internet man. Seriously quit crying. Its not just NASIOC, its anywhere and everywhere, especially the internet. Nothing is going to change now or ever. Its not something that is supported by nasioc, its just a reflection of the society we live in. No one is being purposefuly mean to anyone in particular. No one is taking it seriously either. If you are, i suggest you lighten up a bit. If not, then by all means leave, no one is stopping you.

EDIT* I am sure nasioc does not "approve" of it, but there really is nothing that can be done about it. We have freedom of speech as an ammendment right in this country and people are going to say what they are going to say. it doesnt matter if nasioc (or any other forum for that matter) doesnt "approve" as there really isnt anything that can be done about it either way.

Hahaha yeah I feel like it's kind of obligatory to give a disclaimer like that before you start talking stereotypes. I guess that's just the kind of society we live in .

Anyways I think OP should lighten up, if possible, and try to realize 99% of people that post gifs like that are joking around and aren't racist.

Racism is given power by pointing out that something is racist.
