Baltimore city folks: Where do you get your car washed?
Besides doing it yourself at home (I live in an apartment complex), can anyone recommend some nice places to get my car washed that are in/near the city?

There's a nice DIY place by Ye Old Wheel Shop on Route 1 in Elkridge. I can't remember the name, but you would take the 195 East exit off I-95 to Route 1 South. Go through Elkridge, past the Superfresh and it's on the left (you'll have to turn at the bottom of the hill). I think it's around 7-8 miles southwest of Balto.

In Baltimore
Where in Baltimore are you located. I know of a few all around Baltimore. If I could just remember street names. There is a real good one located about 3 blocks from the OTTOBAR follow link for directions.

fatray is talking about Washworks. Take Howard street south (you can pick it up via 29th street westbound from Charles or St. Paul or whatever). Washworks is about a mile or so down on your right. If you get to the bridge you went too far, but it is hard to miss. Mostly yo boys polishing up the neighborhood dubs, but at least they do a good job.
There is a touchless car wash on Falls Rd also. Take University Parkway into Roland Park, go left on Coldspring and then left on Falls. You'll see an Exxon there at Falls and Coldspring. Once you go left you will see another gas station on your right, next to the Exxon. That is where the carwash is. It used to be a Mobil but I think it changed hands. Or you can come over here sometime and use my hose, it reaches to the alley. Cramped quarters for washing, but the common area in back is bigger and fine for post-wash detailing and whatnot. Elkridge isn't in Baltimore City. It's in Elkridge. |

Yeah, I've gone to WashWorks. They do a pretty good job...they'll wax and buff it too if you want. The only complaint I had was that they didn't wipe down the armor all that they sprayed ALL over my dash. I could barely hold onto the wheel.
Another place I've heard of is AutoSpa. I think its on Old York Road in Cockeysville. Its a little further from the city, but I've heard they do a nice job. |
