Finally replaced my stock 5 1/2 year old battery. Didn't drive my car for two weeks and it stopped holding a charge. Went to Batteries+plus and got myself a 550 cca Rayovac (re-branded Deka) on sale for $79 with 2 year warranty. Much better than the stock 360 cca Panasonic.

Replaced a set of auxiliary lights that the previous owner had on the car, with a set of Hella FF50 driving lights that were installed on my '98 Maxima.

I pulled out all of the wiring from the Maxima for the lights. I reused the 12awg wires, but installed a set of quick disconnects for the two lights.

The relay is hooked up to the connection running to the high beam on the driver side, so all four turn on at the same time. One problem with this, is that the relay will engage only some of the time when the DRL are lit, due to a lower voltage running to the lights. I am probably going to pull the connection for them so I don't have to worry about it.

Here is one of the old ones the previous owner installed...

And the set of Hella FF50 driving lights...

Lol... I said the same thing when I got my car. Went stage 1 w/in 2 months on my 2013. I heard a lot of things about ringland issues on both stock and modified and I just figured that if it blows... it'll just give me an excuse to upgrade the internals. lol.

Following your post...

Today, I swapped the following for ($53.20 inc. tax):
Low Beams: H11 -->> H9
DRL/High Beams: 9005 -->> 9011 HIR1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00480J5CW/
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00480KOP4/

No before/after photos, but take my word for it... The lows are definitely better, and the highs are awesome!

Modifying the 9011's was easy. Just use toenail clippers (the larger ones) and you can clip the exact area needed off of the top tab.

Modifying the H9's wasn't as easy. I had to heat up a sharp screwdriver/blade to melt out the correct tab in the connector. You can use an x-acto knife if you have one.

I am contemplating whether or not to do the fog light DRL mod... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2383843
Since my auxiliary driving lights come on with the DRL/high beam setup, it would be better than just disabling the DRL.

Got tired of the Noise from the SPT cat-back so I swapped it out for a Perrin Cat Back. Went from a Quad staggered to Dual slash cut

Comparison of the size difference

it has a bassier sound that the Sedan has, at idle (after it has warmed up) it is extremely quiet. No Drone and it installed in about 45 minutes. I dont understand why some people pay to have others install their cat-backs
