I guess Shiv is busy with the Evo

Those numbers are impressive, for small time mods.

That's what I meant...I haven't seen any of this stuff out of Shiv for the STi yet, and he was the first one tuning the Evo. Now this "God" fellow seems to be doing the same basic mods that Shiv posted on the Evo when it first came out, and reporting back to base on how well they work.

Oh.

I can't wait for dude to finalize his R&D and post his 'Best Value' findings (low $$ to high HP/Torque).
An STi with 300+ WHP with only minor mods is a very nice thing!

As the old saying goes; "God is in the details".

Godspeed

If you surf over to our friends @ evolutionm there a thread that refers to the God tuning. It's reeeeealy funny.

First it starts with al f's success tuning his EVO to like 301 whp. Great good job.

Then someone cross posts that God has got sim results for under a grand (pruvin's Al mods were like 3k) -ok cool competion is good.

Then it get funny -speculation on changing the (STi) cam and how that can expensive.

Then Al says see STi is going to be very expensive to mod.
after he spends 3x as much -the STi is more expensive to upgrade.

EVO owners/tuners = High school shop class 'C' students, parking lot repairs/mods and tools borrowed from Pep-Boys.

STi owners/tuners = Working professional technicians, recorded & tracked performance evaluations and Snap-On.

EvolutionM.net is less so much informative as it is entertaining.

Hi Guys! I'm running some tests on an EVO soon too so don't worry, I'll have more to report from that camp as well. I'm not a bigger fan of the STI or the EVO. THey are both fantastic but I AM a huge Ministry fan.

I had to dim Al's spot light just a little and attempt to shed some light into the ranting. It's an excepted bashing between the Scooby camp and Evo camp, but I would thought some people might have a clue.

Both cars are very respectful IMO, and this is from a pervious WRX owner and soon to be Evo owner.

Gotcha, thanks for that.

my only point here is that Shiv was modding the Evo immediately, and posting his incremental results immediately. Now "God" is doing the same thing for the STi that Shiv did for the Evo. My failed attempt at humor was implying that Shiv was too busy modding the Evo to do the same thing for the STi.

Have a good one

Which is easier?

To get to 300 awhp with 271 stock hp or get to 300 awhp with 300 stock hp?

it's nice to know that Dan, Shiv, Turboxs and pruven are all high school class C students

that was a really smart and mature remark

let's try and not let this thread go there.

My point was simply that the logic train got derailed due to the hubris of a certain person.

i will be the first one to agree that Al can get out of line every once in a while. i am happy that we have this tuner competition between the 2 cause it will provide us with better products at the end.

all i am saying is bring on the 500whp

Notable exceptions in deed.
But based on observation of both parties, IMHO the reference applies.

Oh, and BTW...my post was done with tongue in cheek.

just thinks about it this way:

they have some kids over at evolutionm.net much like we have kids here, but they also have a lot of knowledgable people like Claudios much like we have Paul Hanson and a few other. the Evo IS a brand new car to most people so it will take some time until people will know it and take it to higher levels. also keep in mind that there are a lot of previous WRX owners that moved to the EVO which most of them have been very informative around here. people like Willie from SQC, Al, WRX1820, BADWRX etc...
if you look for all these names you will see that your statment was wrong.
