I am at the hospital now... Bunny, if you would like some antipsychotic medication or some benzodiazepines to calm you down a bit, now would be the time to let me know.

Suppositories? You, my friend, are one sick dude. Any man who would take a rectal suppository over a pill is a sick man indeed

i just think that it's weird that it comes in a suppository. do most narcs come that way too? what is the application? why would you ever go ass before vein? if the phleb couldn't find a good vein?

Most narcotics come as an oral form and an IV form. Oral narcs are subject to going through the digestive tract and relatively poor bioabsorption. They are also metabolized by the liver immediately after absorption, so you get less effect from the original drug. IV drugs avoid all those pitfalls, but you have to shoot them into a vein (which has its own set of consequences). Rectal drugs bridge the gap between IV and oral drugs because they are only 50% metabolized by the liver. These days, I don't know anyone who gives suppositories (when an oral or IV form is available) first line unless they want to torture a patient.

You would probably be most interested in a Fentanyl patch... it's a wearable opioid narcotic. Think of it like a turbocharged Nicorette patch

I don't think anyone uses suppository narcotics in the medical setting unless for some reason they can't get IV (crappy vein access) AND they can't take things orally (some f'ed up upper GI problem where they can't swallow anything). Altho you can get things like demerol as intramuscular shots too. Sure they hurt like hell at first, but that sweet sweet feeling follows.

Default New guy adding to the list

I work across the street at Champps, IF you all want there is an outdoor patio to eat wings and park your cars next to. We have bikers that come in hang out every now and then. Either way you can count me in.

PS Whats a scooby humper?

Default umm

no I meant across the street "mall blvd" from the mall transit center. and Champps is next to best buy and the IMAX movie place.

They have an outdoor patio and the parking lot is right there so you could sit out in the "I think its called the sun" its been awhile since I have last seen it, and over look all the cars.
