Got the carbon shroud back today. Looks beauitful cait wait to get it put on the car. I think it blends in nicely and the IC pipe just gets swallowed up by the shroud. So it shouldnt draw attention like the aluminum version..

Everythings slowly coming together now. Hopefully be back on the road in the next month.. Or before MOV ...

Tino, I'm re-reading the thread and apologies for such a noob question, but did the shroud help the intercooler flow better or how does it help?
I'm thinking it offers the air a way to escape rather than hit the engine and disperse?

Cheers

hey mate. It helps by giving the air a path to escape once it gone through the cooler. Also the vent has a sucking type effect to draw the air out and essentially create better airflow through the intercooler. I think it definately helps.

Update 25th March 2013:

I decided to finish the widebody off by putting on a WRC wing.

I think it really adds to the stance of the rear end.

It also does not look bulky as we modified the rear portion to replicate the genuine WRC wing.

Big thanks to Manni for prepping and painting the wing in only a few days for an upcoming magazine spread.

Im not really too fussed with prepping the car at race wars now and might actually just run this wing.

Build is still going strong Almost done actually, you can see what's going on in my thread in the motorsports section. Meantime I bought a 2012 WRX as a daily and I've been racing in spec e30. Ok, done jacking tino's thread now.
