so my cars been in the garage the whole week and ive been working on it a few hours a day.. I installed a grimmspeed uppipe with dump tube and a Tial MVS 38mm ewg.. i ran the vacuum hoses from turbo nipple to grimmspeed EBCS and the other port into the intake.. how the hell do i connect the EWG to the 3rd port on the EBCS????? the fitting on the EWG is way bigger than the fitting on the EBCS.. I cant find any info on that. Im thinking of ordering a bigger fitting for the EBCS (to fit a 1/4" ID hose) and run that to the EWG.. would there be any consequences of running a bigger hose?? someone help lol

It also needs the chrome window trim blacked out like I did on my STi. It's the first diecast 2011+ sedan I've seen available so I had to get it!

oh and I need to figure out how to convert it to AWD. It's one of those RWD pull back and let it go kinda toys.

Buy another and gut it's rear axle/drive. Rip out the front of the other one and jam the rear axle in there. Bam AWD.

Anyone have a 13 stock head-unit. The one with physical buttons? I can't stand a touch screen.

Bigger fitting/line will work fine and probably actually be preferred. It will just look a bit odd on the EBCS. Just make sure to use some loctite to get a good seal on the threads. The other option is to just use a reducer fitting. You can usually find plastic ones at most auto parts stores in the "Help" section.

probably not, you'll probably need a reducer or plumbers tape to fill the gap (make sure you don't close over the hole at all)

I wouldn't ever use plumbers tape on a nipple fitting. For the threads of the fitting, sure. But not the part the hose goes onto. I'm not sure if that's even what you're referring to, but I've never heard of that and wouldn't recommend it.

Just get whatever size hoses fit the nipples tightly. You should have to really push them on, and then snug down with a zip tie. If you just go into the store with a bit of the OEM hose it should be very easy to get a reducer and hose 1 size up. Probably will cost $2.

While we're on topic ebcs, out of the 3 which do you guys recommend and why?

HOA 3 port
Grimmspeed 3 port
Cobb 3 port

I heard some people had issues with the Grimmspeed because of bent tubing, but other than that the Cobb and Grimmspeed are basically the same solenoid.

i dont like the HOA, the ports are smaller than the cobb/GS. it doesn't react as fast.

outside of that i believe they are the same. i believe xluben runs the GS one, i'm running the COBB. both are quite satisfied (mine's blue so it's better)
