Default Q-Rack (Buyer Beware)

So this has been long over due, but I am glad I waited to write this, as I have more to say about Tibor and Q Rack.

I ordered a Quick Rack from Tibor, and had it shipped to Yimi Sport in Santa Clarita, CA (A Suby shop).

They installed it, and from the day 1, I had horrible steering shutter issues. I had a few other shops look at it, and they all said, your rack is defective.

I called up Tibor, and after weeks of communication and delays, he finally sent me another rack, to which the original (defective one) would be sent back, and he would pay Yimi Sport for their time to reinstall the rack, as it would obviously not be fair for me to pay for install twice on a defective part.

This is where **** hit the fan. The 2nd rack was shipped and made for a 2006 WRX, and I/Yimi Sport had to buy tie rods (on the spot, same day) to get it installed. Tibor said he would also pay them back for the tie rods, as he made the mistake, and forgot what year I had. Anyhow, the rack was installed, but I still have the same issues. This time it seemed a little better, but was definitely not right.

The mod is great, and I love the quick steering ratio, but as soon as you heat it up, and come to a near stop, such as parking, and try to turn the wheel, it shutters something awful. I even had my pump replaced just to make sure that was not the problem.

Now, here is the main problem, and I feel absolutely horrible for Yimi Sport.

Tibor did not pay them for the re-install or the tie rods as promised, and has completely stopped communication with them. He does not return emails or phone calls, and that includes with me as well. They are out about $500.00, and left with a defective rack. He was supposed to provide shipping info to return the rack.

I just thought people should know what they are getting into before purchasing his rack. Not only is it not street friendly (shutters like crazy), but, he did not keep his promise of paying Yimi, and to me, and that by definition defines horrific customer service!

Kind of weird, that he did not even want his rack back.
