I was looking through some threads and have noticed that this hood latch problem has popped up (npi) rather frequently in the 2008 impreza. Has anyone heard of a recall being issued for this?

I have a 2008 2.5 (non-navi) & have the opportunity to buy a used navi from a 2008 STI. Plug & play? Are there any parts or installation issues I should be aware of?
Thx!

Should be. Hope you're getting a good price. Otherwise just go aftermarket. More bang for the buck

i agree, just go straight aftermarket. The oem stereos are ok, but don't push enough power IMO.

idk if anyone can answer this but.

i have the oem under seat subwoofer, and i was wondering if i can use the harness that connects to my oem stereo with a aftermarket double DIN? i remember reading about having to get another harness???

I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure you need a harness. Line out converter or something like that. Go on crutchfield and browse the how to's.

Edit:

It should work just fine with a new HU. I installed a pioneer in the 04 wrx with the OEM sub and it was plug and play.

I recommend upgrading your sub though too.

2009- my rear windows are barely going back up, anyone else have this problem? Sounds like the motors are really having a hard time getting the window back up. It's on both sides too

I'm having this problem on my 2011 I thought it was from my dogs nose art cuz it seems a little better after a cleaning.

I had the same problem on my rear driver's side. I took it to the dealership and they said there wasn't anything wrong with the motor, but there was just some dirt or something caught in there that was slowing it down.

Yea all of my windows go down just fine but going back up seems like an eternity. I took it to the dealer and they looked at it and said there was nothing wrong and I was like da fuq? Takes like 15 seconds a window and if I do 2 at a time my God I could die of old age.

If you try and roll them all up at one time it takes forever. However if you do one at a time they go up a lot faster. I have no idea why but that's just how the window motors work

It's probably the battery. I would imagine a beefier one would give them the juice they need.

I just had my battery replaced under warranty and they roll up just as slow as before unfortunately. I was going to upgrade to a optima yellow top but that was thrown out the window lol.

The OEM battery seems to have a very low output. I bet with the Optima you would see significant gains in all of your electronics.

Is that the NEW Dunlop Direzza ZII?

What did you use to paint/color the letters? You should post HERE.
