Juan so you did use 09 sti rods. Good to here makes me feel little more comfortable with them. Did you use ARP rods bolts? If so who did machine work on those?

Junior I have never tuned E85 and honestly probaly never will but I'm curious to your answer from above. Just because I'm curious tuner myself that likes to learn as much as possible so if I ever need to know I will. . I know on E85 you can cross MBT point so you should use dyno to see where that is. Is there anymore to it? If you don't mind answering, if you I understand also.

As for the TQ/Rods, I did the same thing on my stock block when I was making over 600whp. It gets to a point were you cant really fight it anymore though and the TQ just goes to were it wants too. Be careful with under timing the motor too, "conservative" timing can also cause det and super high EGTs.

If you want to mail me your Rom I would be more then happy to help you out with what I learned on my stock block big boost setup.

Thanks Junior, the funny thing is that my car feels slow to me . I have a problem.

I don't have drag radials or planing to buy drag radials, I am planning on going to Atlanta dragway soon let me know if you guys are planing on going. I will send you my map soon, I am out of injector and pump. I think It still has a lot more in it.

They are 100% stock rods, the shortblock was build by Crystal

Nice I was thinking of doing the ARP rod bolts but honestly I haven't seen problem with stock bolts failing. Just not sure if it's worth it as I see that's more of chance for someone messing them up.

OP sorry for thread highjack

The car looks great Jr... "lightly modded". Drop me a line when you will be in GA - I still have that aem box and wouldn't mind a road trip to get it tuned. I was gonna wait till next month to send my turbo to FP for the hta86 upgrade but I'll do it sooner depending on when you'll be around.

I will post pics tomorrow with the HTA82 tomorrow. I am running a custom can with -8an lines right now, but I did pick up a crawford AOS to install when I swap the turbo.

Im getting antsy.. I might take her to the track tomorrow on pumpgas and see how close to the 10s I can get.

Jr
Dooo It..

Sounds sick what cams?

Are you running the stock 8mm fuel feed line from the tank to engine bay? I want a Crawford can possibly.

3.82 0-60 Vbox results today in the rain on the 18s.
Still running on 93 and 20psi, she is pretty quick. Tomorrow I am going to do a few 60-130s with it

8.2 60-130, I have to work on the brake boosting some. It feels a little lazy coming up to speed, this is also rolling into 4th and shifting 5th. I can ef hold out 4th to 130.

That does put me up with some nice competition though, I am in good company. I will be happy when its on e85 and I am playing the low 6s.

Do a 50-100mph also.

So far we have 50-100mph data from a 20g XTR, a 88-75, a FP Red and a FP Black all of them on E85.

Also guys try to get video of the velocimeter; a smart phone and tape on the steering wheel works well lol

What are you guys using to measure time?

You can use romraider logger can't you? I assume you can convert time stamping to seconds?

I suspect these times are hitting the gas at 50 and holding it until you hit 100? Or are they rolling on it at say 30 but only count from 50-100 (this way would be quicker as lag wouldn't be issue)

One of these spread sheet gurus could make spreadsheet that you could make log with romraider and use it to give 50-100 0-60 etc..
Basically like what's in airboy spreadsheet

I believe all that would be needed to log is mph

I think the video maybe more accurate, I got a difference of about .5sec between my video and my log

Well I would think problem with video would be inaccuracy of speedo ( basically what is true 50 could change with camera angle and does speedo keep up) and human error where log should be pretty close to dead on, I would expect no more than maybe .05s off on log. But that is my optinion

I agreen on camera angle, but if you position the camera on the steering wheel the angle is minimal since its so close to the speedo. In the log with fast polling sometimes you get three read outs with the same speed and at different times. Which one the one should we use? . Second, sometimes the log will read 97 or 99 or whatever instead of exactly 100mph, what do we do in that case? interpolate?

Obviously the best option is a Vbox but I am not buying one.
