Default 4 sets of spark plugs in 4 days.

Ive gone through 4 sets of plugs in like 4 days. One set of NGK iridiums with resistors, one set of NGK iridiums without, one set of NGK coppers with resistors, and a set of AUTOLITE cheap plugs. just to see what happens.

My car has a horrible misfire at any level of load above about 2 PSI boost, and also, after about a day of driving with new plugs, the car just wont start. If i leave it running it wont die, but does have some problems idling after i have had the revs up like from cruising or whatnot. it will run well/ok, then after shutting it off, letting it sit for a minute, and starting it again, it will just not run. sometimes i get a day out of them, this last set I got maybe 5 miles before the plugs stopped doing their job

now I know it seems like I am maybe running WAY too rich or maybe even gumming them up with oil, But I have had the car on close wideband observation for the last 2 months, and the AFRs were near perfect. 14.5-15 to 1 on idle and cruise, and 10.8-11.5 to 1 while boosting. Get this... when I pull the plugs out for inspection, they seem ok. Its just that the whole plug is black, even the electrode. meaning, the thing is just not firing. Not one cylinder is firing at all once they go out. So whatever it is, Its happening in all 4 cylinders at once.

Here are my mods
axis power racing short block
ported heads stock cams
custom t04/T4 turbo
FMIC
PE800s
Perrin rails
AEM FPR
UTEC

wow majority rules, I will do that ASAP, ive been thinking it too. what type of things could damage coils? UTEC Going bad? i fried an ECU too last year. does my turbo being a monster have anythign to do with the coils going bad? i really want to fix this problem. does anyone know of any threads that talking about swapping to a pluc coil and wire setup? Im going standalone, and want to do that as well to increas spark heat, and stuff like that. I then could use MSD ignition n stuff.

Language gents

I can't prove it but I did see a car that ran super rich conditions blow a couple of coils. It started to misfire badly due to being supoer rich and 2 coils failed, then, or shortly after. These 2 coils were fine before it ran rich. Like I said I can't prove that the rich condition killed the coils, you know, breaking coils to prove a theory is an expensive test.

My theory is that when you get misfire the coil charge is not fully discharged and the coil starts to heat up. After a time like this it fails. Just a theory....

my MAp sensor was bad, it was causing my car to WAY overfuel on startup, because it was telling the engine it was at 0 vac, which calls for alot more fuel, and it was fouling plugs daily.

So, your AFR readings were off? That's the bit of data that does not fit, but glad you found a solution.

there were 2 problems. one was 1 coild pack was bad. I replaced all 4 since i got a screamin deal on a whole intake manifold with aall coils, and that got rid of the studder.

then the other problem was the reason my plugs were fouling, and that was the MAP sensor. it was overfueling on startup, and ****ing up my plugs.

sorry, i forgot i had posted that other problem too.
