Clearly your experience does not match mine. Which is why I did something about it and you didn't.
Problem solved.

i mean, the plastic wheel feels so cheap. i can see why subaru change steering wheels, makes it feel less cheap.

Anyway, the OEM leather shift knob only cost something like $12 on eBay, and the Wheelskins wrap was $40, so for approximately $50 I was able to make myself happy (not including the cost of the Pioneer HU). The Wheelskins doesn't look OEM, but it looks nice, and feels even better. I like a thick steering wheel. |

It was an eBay auction. Mine looks just like this, but I got a better price, and mine was in better condition than the way the seller describes this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-OEM-Sub...21062754305%26 Here's a pic of my car immediately after I installed the Wheelskins. You can see the shift knob too. The leather on the Wheelskins tightened up a bit over the next month after this pic was taken. I also hardwired the GPS and radar detector, so that cabling is hidden now. And this was before I installed the Pioneer HU. Last edited by sgoldste01; 01-28-2013 at 04:14 PM. |

Do we get our first oil change free? I am coming up on my first oil change, and so far, no coupon has come in my mailbox.

My dealer was sofa king cheap. Budged on the price only, but wouldn't include any throw-ins or free maintenance. That's ok, though - I read some of the very recent horror stories of the "service" they provide, and decided to look elsewhere. Until I decide to trade up for a different vehicle, they probably won't be seeing any more of my money. Even then - no guarantees that it'll be with them.

not sure what i did. hustled to 200 below invoice. not sure how i even got there. but this was early 2012, when they weren't sure how many they were going to sell and they had some on the lot. few months later you couldn't even get one with out ordering one and the dealers got smart and jacked up the price.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ght=wheelskins That should answer all of your questions. It will tell you where to order the wrap, and what you need to do if you want to use the baseball stitch like I did (this is recommended, even though it's more time consuming to install). |
