It's still not here. I ordered a new one straight from yamaha and had it priority shipped up. Took them a day.

Lesson learned, dont order something on ebay if they offer parcel post only. Eff parcel post to hell.

They have a 14 day return policy. So once it does show up its going right back to them.

Nope, stock F22 non-vtec; but we have a project motor build we are planning to start this winter for it

We started with building everything else on the car up first, then go to the motor that way I have a platform ready to handle it rather than other way around.

Thats a great motor..some had a plastic water pump that will break and cause problems. Easy fix to do it before it breaks. Otherwise its a bullet proof engine.

Cool

Thanks Seth. I will keep that in mind. I don't plan to keep it very long***8230;already have my eyes on something else.

Nice to see some pleasant comments for a change though .

I could see the motor being bullet proof. It feels very under stressed and even though it is running well, it revs so much more slowly than the WRX. It reminds me a lot of the Datsun 280ZX inline 6 I used to have. More power overall than that 280 but the same characteristics of a grand touring car***8230;.smooth, loads of torque under the curve and not in a hurry to get there.

Pretty spoiled by living with the Subaru the last decade +.

That same motor design with two squirrel cages would change your views...lol...Imagine the same flat torque but add about 200ft lbs and another 200whp. BMW wanted to maintain that power curve you mention but add the turbo option for more power. They did a good job. Now their early introductions to their direct injection systems that is another story!

I love those Zs but a few kids later you find there just isn't enough doors on them... or seats for that matter.

Yeah, not the most practical car. I had the ZX from when I was 17 till about age 22. I'm now reminded why I moved on. It's nice to be able to carry some stuff around.

Honestly though, I can count the number of times I've had people in the back seat in the past year on one hand. My older two are out of the house. My youngest is old enough to ride in the front seat now. Its just been fun to try something else for a change of pace. If anything, just to reemphasize how good the Subaru is.

I would say…once you go black you never go back...

The tires are from the previous owner, she drove it year round…I won't change anything…it will be gone soon...for a small profit.

I talked with Greg at German Steel today…what a nice fella. He gave me some important advice. Looking forward to working with him in the future. Nice that he is right down Huffman from me.

Saw Sheb and Teecea's GTI over there too as well as a metric **** ton of Audi's of every year, make and model .
