Strider327 - you could try to bypass the recirc altogether and see if the stalling issue persists. With this seutp you will cap off all pressure (manifold) and vacuum nipples (turbo inlet). Let us know what happens.

I'm getting a P0171 code. It says its running to lean. When ever i fill up at the gas station the car doesn't want to start after. I have to hold the key for a few seconds and it will eventually turn over but it will idle really low and it sounds like the car is starving for fuel.
I got a new turbo inlet put on and that broke the original sensor. My buddy had an extra one and he put that one. I drove about 2k miles and now I'm having this problem. I think it's the sensor itself. I'm gonna swap sensors and see if thats the problem. Should I buy a new sensor or just do the delete? |

08OBS - Assuming the 'sensor' is the thing with 2 nipples and an electrical plug (solenoid) is bad then you will need to replace it since it is not deleted in the suggested diagram from this thread.

Stupid question of the day, where does the green hose connect to? I'm finishing up reversing my intake manifold and stupid me, I neglected to label that particular line. I've searched for the answer but wasn't successful.

The longest hose, roughly 6", connects the intake manifold nipple (directly above the alternator) to the PCV solenoid (furthest nipple from the plug). The other hose will simply connect back to the line returning to the firewall/gas tank. The more I look at the illustrations and the more I realize they are not correct from the factory. The 2 nipples on the solenoid should be flipped. The green hose in our diagram connects the nipple closest to the plug to the gas tank return line, but the photo shows it opposite.

So I was pulling my old power steering pump and was replacing it with a brand new one and managed to snap one of the inlet on my PCSV. I took some pictures to see how it's setup from stock. Let me know if you guys have any questions from my pictures. I hope this can help someone out.

am i suppose to have 2 Pcsv's on my 08 sti? I found two nearly identical Pcsv. One is attached to the metal bracket holding the Pcsv and the boost control together, ad the other under near the evap line. I'm guessing my 08 sti is different due to california emissions even though it was bought brand new in texas because it does not have a purge valve or a nipple for it.

FXTrunner - no, I do not have the diagrams. You should be able to use the FXT plumbing instead of the 07 STi assuming you are not swapping out the entire assemblies:
- Drivetrain (motor/trans/hubs) - wiring harness (bulkhead, front, rear, engine) - ECU Stephen |

Right, I only brought over the engine harness from the 05 engine... I'll see if i can bring the purge solenoid hook up but the one port on the 05 manifold is actually deleted on the 07.
Can I tee off one of the ports and use it for both purge valve and purge control solenoid valve? |

I recently threw a P0442 cel for EVAP LEAK DETECTED (SMALL) could this be something to do with this? Or should I be looking for something else.

If it is a leak u can just run your own hose to bypass that evap section Last edited by blue m&m; 05-31-2012 at 07:04 PM. |

Im not really to sure I know what you mean. I ended up doing the delete as shown in the diagrams in this thread. If its because of this then I'm wondering if I should be okay to just turn off that code.

well here is another bump. I reset the ecu and still threw a P0442 EVAP LEAK DETECTED (SMALL). Does anyone know if I can just turn this CEL off? The line that enters the intake manifold with this delete does not seem as tight as the other spots. Should I throw a hose clamp on it? Right now I am using a zip tie.

so I can I just remove that entire assembly and run a line from where it would normally hookup under the intake manifold and run it directly to the intake manifold and then just shut off the cel?

You need to keep the solenoid in place, but the 'T' fittings and Round PCV can all go.

Okay, just trying to check and where this Cel is coming form. I do not have any leaks from that area now but I am still getting the cel. Checked the gas cap and it looks fine.
To be sure I hooked it up correctly, the bottom port with the arrow gets the hose that comes from under the intake manifold and the top port is the hose that goes to the intake manifold correct? |
