Gauging interest - Group buy on the GoPro
So, we're thinking about hosting a group buy on the GoPro wide angle motorsports camera set up, but we want to see how much interest there is. Let us know by posting here, and we'll see if there's enough action for it.
For those not familiar with it check out the details here: http://www.turninconcepts.com/produc...oducts_id=1035

Very interested, I have been looking at these for a while. Also, the prospect of army men to play with sweetens the deal even more. Subscribed. Just to be sure, that this is the motorsports hero, with the mounts for auto use.

Interested as well. You'll have to beat the $130 Ebay prices, though.
By what I've read, the picture is nothing great, but it's fine to analyze your mad tite racing skillz or just for fun. |

I agree, there are certainly better pieces out there, but start comparing prices. Value wise, this is a great unit. I know that I am interested, and may be able to get one or two more people signed up.

Just for reference, if the price were close to the ebay, I would certainly give the business to TiC, for what they do for us.

~$140-150 and I would be interested... I would rather pay ~$10 more and get it from a REPUTABLE company (TiC) than ebay. If I ever had any issues I would know who to contact...

Here's what I'm thinking for pricing:
1-5 people - 195 6-10 - 190 11-15 - 185 16-20 - 180 Basically for every new batch of 5 price drops by $5 with a floor of 160.

I like the GoPro. Quality isn't as good as an HD camera but...come on! Customer service is good too. I broke the top clip and they sent me a complete new housing for free including shipping. I've made a few videos with it and took it snorkeling in Mexico.

Yeah - to pull that off I'm gonna need 50 people who are serious in it. Serious as in put deposit down, not any of the "I'm in" and then bail.
That's why we do the tiered pricing - if folks are serious they'll tell their friends. That's also why we require a deposit - the serious folks have no problems with this. I hate to do it that way, but I've been burned pretty bad on the "I'm in" and bail in the past.
