South Mountain is not the ideal place for what you want to do.. You need find a place outside of the city with less vehicle traffic...
Besides there are Ranger officers around that can spot you very easily. |

Out by Horseshoe Lake. The back way up to Prescott. Nothing really out where you live.

I dont know much out by avondale.. south mountain is the closest i know of, its not for fast driving, but its definatley cool to check out if you want to kill an afternoon.. also, most of the roads out to any of the lakes are usually fun drives, bartlett, saguaro, pleasant, etc.

I'm not gonna go too over the top since I just got a speedin ticket a few days ago. I just wanna put my suspension through some work. It never gets to do that in Phoenix or anywhere else.

The drive from Yarnel up to Prescott is awesome. You can also do the 89A up to Jerome.

Not really close to phx,but worth the drive. Yarnell 89N and Jerome 89A N will let you get a great feel for your suspension set up. https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=p...a=ls&via=4&z=8 |

Hwy 88 to Tortilla Flats.
The road out to Bartlett Lake from Pima. Hwy 89 from Wickenberg to Flagstaff. The are many smaller sections on this road that are fun; but there's a lot of more boring cruise sections too |

Hwy 87 up to Payson is awesome, lots of elevation changes and curves. Return is almost like a different road despite the repeat.
Really bored, continue east from Payson on hwy 260 to Heber then south on 77 for a great day loop. |

I'm gonna google map all these roads when I get my car back and drive aloof them. I haven't made it out to any of them yet since the car has been down but I will eventually get to it.
