It sounds like both of your parents were hitting the pipe a little too hard before they went on their errands. Your mom also needs sex soon, she's being really bitchy - in das pooper and everything.
Now, to get them back, jack up the Avalon and take off all the wheels and put them in your neighbor's lawn. |

Next time, let the air out of the 2 tires on the Avalon so now they have to use the camry and let your dad change his own damn tires......

The point is, there was a perfectly good and capable errand-running car in the driveway that even my dad suggested taking in the first place. So obviously, he doesn't really care which car he's driving to go do errands. My dad just felt like being an ass. He does this all the time, and today after my mom saw what he was doing, leaned over and said to me "I hate it when he gets like this." This is a man who enjoys pissing people off. He gets excited when he gets overcharged for a bill, just so he can rip the innocent lady who answers the phone a new *******, and this is exactly what he did to me today. The only disrespectful thing I did to him was say "What the **** are you doing?!" after he disrespected me by sending my wheels down the hill. I didn't disrespect him until he disrespected me, and he shouldn't be given a double standard just because he's my father. I'd say the same thing if the pope sent my wheels down the hill. -Matt |

Behind the camry is the famous hill, and on the right side of the garage, there's a slight grade that I don't feel comfortable jacking a car up on. Quote:

Just fyi, this could have been avoided if you did the job faster.
Break the tires loose w/ a breaker (or skip this step if you have air tools ) Then use a floor jack under the front side jacking point and lift the *whole side* of the car in the air. Use an electric drill w/ a socket adapter to remove the lugs. Swap the rims. Start the lugs by hand and then zap them at low torque w/ the drill. Lower the car and hit them w/ the torque wrench. Repeat for the other side. I can change my tires in about 5 minutes w/ this method. You would have been able to swap your tires 5 times over before your parents decided to flip out. Also, the fact they flew off the handle so easily probably means they're tire of having your ass around. Move out. And if you need to swap the tires again before you move out, a simple "Hey dad, I need to swap the tires, can I block you in, or should I move your car?" would cover the situation. |

I know it's a bad story, but I find the part about the tires rolling down the hill so funny

That sucks, Matt. My relationship with my dad got much better after I left for college and he's mostly supportive of me when dealing with my RS.
I know matt, and he is definitely one of the most soft-spoken people I know. He's not a spoiled brat. I'm sure everyone here has perfect relationships with their parents. ~~Quentin |

Dude, this will solve your problems:
Just tell your dad that you are going to pick his retirement home and he should remember that there is such as thing as elder abuse. Ever wonder why? It's because some parents can be complete dill-holes and think they will always be bigger. Guess what, Dad? You're getting older, weaker, and poorer, and someday the kids will be bigger stronger, and the ones paying YOUR bills. You mis-treat your kids now and you might be living in a very scary place when you get older. I've told my dad that a few times. Funny how much more respect I get from him now... And for the record, if my Dad (or anyone) threw my rims down the driveway I would think of serious payback. Why not do the same to him? Jack the cars up, take the wheels off, throw them down the street. |

matt is so far from this its not even funny. If my dad ever did anything disrespectable to me or my car i would swear at him to no end. I do not care if its his house and his rules, its a freaking car no reason for him to flip out about it. And i can tell you were the kind of kid that did get hit alot. To those saying move out. Ya know some people are in college and its not the easiest thing to just go and move out. Some have college payments, car payments, insurance bills, and you want to add rent to some place. You know it will be a dump because who has enough cash to get a nice place. so you all need to chill and think |

matt is different than me
i did not buy my car and i admit to this. i took the insurance money from my first car(got rearended) and my parents paid the left over amount needed for this car. considering cars are mainly my own hobby id rather live at home and drive a nice one then be independent with even more bills to pay and drive a junker |
