Default How do I decide which map to use.

Hi,

Just got my AP. I don't see straight answer in the menu on how to decide if my car is Low Wastegate or high wastegate.

Thanks a lot...

if your car is over boosting use LWG if its under boosting use HWG.

Just use the normal waste gate map and run it a couple of days. Do some login and determine if it needs it.

Should I try redline? Anything I need to pay attention?

Thanks!

Once you get I'd say at least 50 miles on the tune others may say a full tank you need to go somewhere safe and do a pull from ~2k to redline (or close to) in usually 3rd gear while logging the whole run. First note make sure it is somewhere safe and within local limits as anything outside of that a judge won't care that some guy online said you should heh. Anyways a couple of those and you can look at the logs and see what you're hitting for peak boost and go from there.

In my STI I did my 3rd gear pull, hit 4th and tried to run it up pushing my local limits and threw a CEL and ended up going with LWG and still hit ~1lb over target boost on WOT.

Each car is different and many things come into play so start with the normal one and see what you get. You'll figure it out over time!

Side note... Fill out your use profile with what car you have - makes it easier for folks to answer you on things
