Default GC8 power window problem

so my driver's side window will not go up. it is stuck down and i can't figure out what the problem is! its not the switch, I've figured that out. it sounds like something is loose in the door when i shut it as i hear a bad rattle. But, I've taken the door panel off and the window seems to still be on track. anyone have any idea???

thanks
-greg

are you hearing the motor running? if so, the screw to the window and the track has come off and maybe fell in the door. just my thought.

why do say its not the switch?

try this turn the key on, dont start the car.

turn the map lights on, operate the switch up and watch the map lights, if the lights dim...most likely the motor or regulator is seized.

if the lights do nothing, its probably the switch.
