Default 9hrs, 1 vanila pepsi, 1/2 a bag of peanut butter cups, and 2 tanks of gas,

and no bathroom stops.

thats what it took me to get from north jersey to virginia and back in a nor'easter.

I also learned that there are some really stupid people in this world, who dont know how to drive to save their lives....

I saw a multitude of accidents, mostly suvs thinking they are invincable (sp?)

many cars facing the wrong way on the shoulders of the highways...

This was all in nj, cause other states actually clear their highways! ahaha

No, I dont know why I needed to post this, so dont ask.

Jay

Yah, I saw a lot of stupidity on the road. Although I guess it is hard not to when you drive for almost 10 hours 5 days straight.

I went from Philly to Orlando without going to the bathroom. When we finally go to the house we rented...boy did I pee...i'm talking gallons of pee...gone all gone. Think that trip was 17 hours and some change. This was back in 1999 when I didnt use public toilets. I have grown up some and now I can pee anywhere.

9 hrs for a roundtrip from N. NJ to N. Va is very good timing. It takes me 5 hrs to go from Fredericksburg to NYC area (F'burg is 40 min from No Va).

When we had that huge snow storm last Feb (or March?) it took me 9 hrs to go from NYC to F'burg, one way.

But yeah you see mostly jackasses in SUV's speeding through the storm and running off the road.

Heh, I love marathon driving. I've done almost 18 hour stretches, and could probably manage a 24 hour drive. I usually can go 5-6 hours without stopping unless I have to take a leak or get fuel. On quick count, I've been through 26 states, but I could've sworn it was more. *shrug*

My longest was boston to dc and back, about 16 hours total. In a 93 regal gs. My neck always starts to hurt, you gotta remember to rest it early and stay loose.

This is why I thought I was smarter for taking the bus up north for New Year's...

....then my brother told me his bus story about the guy that smelled like urine and kept his finger in his ear while he mumbled all the way from DC to South Carolina.

I'm a total small town girl and the first bus I'll have ever taken will be dropping me off somewhere in New York City. Hold me!
