I almost bought one to test fit and see how much fender rolling I'd need to fit the 245s on my legacy. But I passed and bought some Brembos instead AFAIK he still has the whole set, for cheap. |

sadly, they changed the turbo layout so its not a bolt-on for older WRX. i'm not sure what type your injectors are, but i already have a walboro ready to go in whenever its needed.

Under the right conditions, anything is possible. One case-report of reduced spool and power or one write up doesn't mean that that is always the case. And in that case, an expensive aftermarket header would probably also reduce spool. People, especialy on these forums, are always trying to simplfy physics waaayyy too much. This part does X, that part does Y, is not real world. sorry. The best way to do any of this is talk to the man who will be tuning your car, see what they like, come up with a plan of attack that fits your car and your budget that that particular tuner has had good results with. |

I'd like a VF34, but i'm not sure how long this motor would last with the extra power. I've been trolling the boards for a cheap, PnP stocker(TD04) for the extra quick spool-up. It should work very nicely with my exhaust setup.

who knew that posting that I wanted headers would wake this thread up so much!! haha. but its nice. I will have plenty of real world data soon..and since Ipiece meal every thing I will have dyno sheets from stage 2 pro-tune>stage 2 + fmic>stage 2+fmic and headers..then 1.5xtr and tgv deletes!!
And just wanted to say hey to Killer b..I am friends with Wil Whitten so I am in your neck of the woods a good bit and need to check out your stuff..I know you dont offer a ewg option and just wondered if you planned to or dont specifically because its not needed. I've been planning to go ewg and plumb it back into the exhaust because I have read that it helps spool and tuning but if its a waste or not worth the expense I may not bother. |

if its going to die, its going to die. not wasting time on a compression check since it won't help or hurt anything.
the only oil i lose is through the leaky turbo seals until the oil gets too dirty, then it drinks it. i lose less than a quart per 3k change. |

Found it:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2271466 Although the thread is about 18g-xt vs xtr there is some great info in the middle about GS header design. Here is MP's most poignant point: Quote:

Would you mind finding me one of these dyno plots showing isolated improvement with the GrimmSpeed set-up? As a result of MPS above post I quoted a new thread was started by another member about the GS PNP/XP combo. No one was ever able to come up with such a plot. If you could dig one up I'd love to put it on that other thread, and a lot of guys would really appreciate it. |
