Me too! I'm doing a full brake system over haul to help slow the ol' girl down. Putting e85 in it and turning it up another 100whp or so. I'll be sure to post videos if I don't break it first

Here is a look at the 50-100 for my 08 STI. Full build details: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2472813
This is now running E85 on the pump tune with injector scaling changed. I'll do an E85 tune here in the next week and see if I can get a bit more out of it. Vehicle: 2008 STI Motor: Built WJ257 Turbo: EFR7670 Boost: 24-25.0 psi Transmission: Stock 6-Speed Redline: 7800 Upgrades:see http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2472813 Cobb AP SD Weight: 3450 lbs empty, with me 3648lbs 50-100MPH: 3.99 (24-25psi, 480ish whp), 4.99 (21-22psi 430ish whp) You can see that the higher boost makes a bigger difference at the lower RPMs in 3rd gear. The slope once in 4th is almost the same. I also did a run in 4th gear only, and indeed it is slower. The 60-130 might be different, and I'll be curious to give that a try. Also, here is a look at boost for the faster run: I really should turn on flat foot shifting.. that boost drop sucks. Jeff Last edited by sponaugle; 03-15-2013 at 12:53 PM. |

Wow Jeff thats sick man and some really detailed graphs. Nice post. Seems like you dropped a full second off 50whp. I wonder if that carries over through to other build and setups? Your making huge power for only 25psi, that turbo is pretty happy.

My car dropped about 1/2 second per 40WHP on Virtual Dyno. Loosing a full second with 50WHP is a bit surprising based on what I've seen, but all my testing was within a single gear. |

If anything this shows how difficult it is to just dyno tune.. so many different variables on the road. I'll turn on the flat foot and do some more longs this next week. Jeff |

Yeah ffs makes a huge difference for me. I'm almost a full second slower without it.

I envy ur mileage. Having ur project car as ur dd tends to spoil some of the modding/abuse fun.

Yeah most of my buddies are all on there 2nd or 3rd built block or have moved on to a new model sti or swore off subaru all together and bought evos, yet mine is still going. I'd say its partly cause I'm usually in traffic to and from work so it doesn't see many wot pulls and because the tune is on the conservative side. I mean I have a fully built block, Dom3xtr,fmic and meth and I'm only making 415/405, I'm sure I could squeeze Way more out of it but I'd prefer to make just over 4 and not have to constantly have issues.
Watch me blow my motor tomorrow now cause I said this. Lol |

Yeah that's a crappy situation to be in. You can make big power on a 5speed but its only a matter of time before something breaks. Then ur left with the dilemma. Sell it and buy an sti, do gears or do a 6 speed swap. My buddy learned the hard way and replaced his 5 speed with a new 5 speed 3 times before biting the bullet and doing the 6 speed swap. He wasted so much money

Here is a link to the full pull VD graph. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...2480570&page=3 Here is my 50-100 mph time based on this portion of the 3rd gear log.
