Top mount Oil cooler/tran cooler
Top mount Oil cooler/tran cooler using the hood scoop to give the air to the cooler. Anyone tryed it? On the WRC car it is on the fender well. I know there are ones for my car but would one from summit work?

I'd keep it as far away from the engine as you could. since lag is not an issue with oil it doesnt matter all that much wher eit is, why sit it ontop of your hot engine?

Yea, that's true elsanto. Would these ones work fine they cost what they should, not half of a grand. I would like to extend my oil's shape when I switch to Royal Purple.

I remember a thread about someone who put an oil cooler under the hood scoop since they had a FMIC.. something got ingested into the hood scoop (rock?) and broke the oil cooler. Oil went all over the engine and set it on FIRE. He moved the oil cooler after that

That's what I was thinking but maybe the mesh from Seibon's hood scoop wouldn't protect me from a rock.

the same rock punching through a front mount oil cooler may not have caused a fire, but would the block be any better off?
