I can't find my heat gun. Grab one from Sears for like $20. You can always return it after you're done.

for NY inspection, does anyone know if I will fail if the EVAP SYS i/m monitor is in the not ready state?

I was getting the P0442 cell and disabled it using enginuity, but now the i/m monitor won't go to the ready state.

Either that big guy can take a serious hit to the face over and over and over again or the other guy hits like a bitch. No clue why he didn't fight back.

Yes, you'll fail. I'm not familiar with enginuity, but there should be an option to force readiness. I helped someone on here pass with a dead o2 sensor.

EDIT: under the emissions tab, should be an option for force pass readiness monitors. Enable that and go pass.

Thanks a million, I'll give that a try. I quickly looked the other day, but thought turning off the CEL would be enough (my inspection expired this morning, well 12:01 am, and I don't want to get pulled over for it.

I was getting that code too. I replaced my gas cap and it never came back.

Crap, I just checked the enginuity software and there's nothing to force the readiness of the EVAP SYS (only the cat code fixes). I'll have to keep searching.

Make sure your enginuity defs are current. You can force all monitors to ready.

Monitors aren't related to the cat. It just reports on whether emissions related sensors are functioning.

Check where I told you to look. That will force all monitors to ready.

This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know of any junk yards locally that have GD Imprezas? I need a FPS&RPS passgenger glass & passenger window trim.

If any of you have spares, I have cash
