Default DashZ 04-05 headlight conversion with halo/leds

Anyone see this sponsored ad on nasiocs home page? They seemed to have produced an aftermarket housing then outfitted it with projector low beams and standard reflector high beams, both with halo/angel eyes. $350 for a set doesnt seem too bad either...
I clicked on it and was checking them out. I kinda like em, but wanted to see if anyone has purchased these yet, and what kind of luck youve had with them. A part of me thinks its a little ricey... but another part doesnt.
Anyone and everyone can chime in about these too...

^^^^ ya, figured this was a cheaper alternative to the lightwerkz conversion.

wow, havent looked at lightwerkz site in a while... either pricing came down or i never paid that close attention. i do like their work, and the quality is top tier

Those 3 LED's are just so random and out of place. It'd be better just to leave them out instead of just "tossing in some LED's for good measure to keep up with current styling that didn't belong on there." Maybe for $100, buy one pair, get one pair free, and free shipping.

Cheaper because Lightwerkzs uses OEM HID optics while DashZ uses cheapo Taiwanese halogen ones. Those are no better than eBay lights you can buy for your Civic on eBay.

It is not ok to run HIDs in these and both the halos and LEDs are among the riciest things you can put on your car.

I thought the black ones looked decent until I saw those three LEDs.

Looks like girl jewelry.

The only best cheaper alternative to lightwerkz is DIY.
Buy some used HID projectors (or halogen if you don't want HID) and retrofit them in there.

Not my cup of tea. If I were going to do it, I would go the extra mile and do lightwerkz.

Personally I'd rather do some Projector retrofits myself or have Lightwerkz do it. First the LED's are random and ricy, the housing could be complete crap, the Projectors are Halogen Projectors not HID.

the black one don't look THAT bad, good for someone who doesn't have $700-900 on the lightwerkz conversion

Exactly, and also this is for people who can not have the downtime of 2 weeks for their car, like me for example... it's my DD and I'm sure many people can relate to that. Can't believe people are getting a fit over 3 LEDs...omfg. TO each their own, but this is a great alternative assuming that the projectors do what they are supposed to do with the HIDs..

Use some common sense. These aren't hand made retrofits. These headlights are mass produced. If they were HID lenses the price would be much much higher. They are the Impreza version of these:

Welp, will they work anyway? I haven't seen too many examples of people putting HIDs in halogen projectors or having problems with doing so either. I'm not looking for the super awesome cutoff line, I'm just trying to not blind people.

here's another idea, how difficult would it be to just buy these and Then change out the projectors to true HID ones?

^^^ obviously there is some confusion about bulb technology. a 9007 (low), H1 high, & h3 (fog) in the OE set up all are 55w bulbs. The 9007 having a slightly different element design, but the fundamental output is the same.

Its the HOUSING/REFLECTOR combination that makes the difference. Look @ the output/beam difference between say a Hella fog versus a driving lamp. The bulb is the exact same, the housing/reflector is drastically different.

The housing design has a far more important impact than the bulb spec (9007/H1/H3)

its a crap shot. i put an HID kit in my OEM mazda halogen projectors and indeed had a razor sharp cut off..........no color flicker like the OEM honda projectors tho because mazda uses a frosted projector. lightwerkz sells a clear projector tho.

so it IS POSSIBLE these lights may fare quite well with an HID kit in them............but i wouldnt hold my breath nor do i care to spend the money to find out. and chances are the first person to buy them will slap an 8k+ HID kit inside......cut off and light out put will be horrific.......buy hey! it looks awsome! and only post pictures of the lights on and camera pointed at the damn headlight

OT rant........when someone askes for a picture of light output..........dont send me a picture of your dumb ass pointed directly at the headlight. i have no desire to stare at your 1324873249k purple/green/pink/perywinkle HID's. park your car 15 feet away from a garage door or solid wall and point it at said inanimate object /rant
