What is the color code of Prime, Ayd***305;n? Is it 18L Java Black Pearl or custom paint?

Even after being on this forum (and other similar car forums) for so long, I always find it amazing to stumble across things like this - epic build threads from Turkey, Subaru and Evo enthusiasts in Moscow, a 5.0L Mustang owner in Bahrain, etc. Very cool.

Aydin22B - What is the hood made of? The shot from underneath makes it look like an OEM type (the underside support looks like an OEM hood), which would presumably be steel or aluminum. Were the custom vents bonded onto the hood (assuming it's fiberglass or CF) or were they welded in (assuming it's metal)? I love the way those vents were incorporated. That third shot in particular is great, where it shows how the vents were smoothed into the character lines on the hood. What is the story on this car and what are your plans for it? Looks like it had some front end damage that had to be repaired. Did you buy it as a project car, or is this a car that you've had for a while and just decided to transform it? Will this be a daily driver, or track day car, or both, or just put in a museum so people can admire the amazing fab work? Pat Olsen |

Hello Pat
We have used oem hood and vents are welded to the hood. I have been using seibon cf hood before, but the big vents on seibon makes the exterior cleaning harder because of water marks. You have to clean the engine bay every time you clean the exterior. I am also planing to make a cover for the vents to use while Prime is in cleaning. Beyond cleaning issues there is a risk of getting engine wet in sudden summer rains due to big vents. |

Btw, Prime hasnt got any damage in his life. Prime is 1997 model and had 31.000 miles. We have to cut the front frame to fit my fmic on my previous setup, thats why it looks like damaged. I have also changed the front frame (panel) with the new one.

I havent decided which one to use in full potential but both will have minimum 500hp at crank |
