Unhappy My new iPod mini broke.

I received a 4GB iPod mini for listening to some sales pitch for a half an hour. Pretty sweet deal actually. At any rate, I didn't know it wasn't waterproof and they don't warn you that it isn't.

j/k. It fell out of my pocket onto the tiled floor at the airport and it teh b0rked. I thought "What a silly little POS to break after only falling a short distance once." The screen was on one of the menus but the dial wouldn't do anything. I switched to "hold" then back off and still nothing. I put it in my laptop bag and forgot about it. A little later in the day I dug it out and it was working again. Hooray for self healing electronics!

I have no idea what happened to it. Maybe it just had to wait a while to go into a full power off state or whatever. I'm glad it fixed itself though.

It DID break, chicken ****er. However, it fixed itself later. That does not nullify the breakage, it simply changed the breakage.

There's 4 *BILLION* little bits whizzing around in a circle inside that thing. You can picture them as little pac-man looking things running circles on a super shiny 1" diameter track, yelling "Ariba! Arrrriiiba!" You got lucky this time, but you do *not* want to drop this group of little dudes onto a hard floor. It makes them angry.

Oh. I bet they took a siesta when they were dropped. That makes sense.
