Have a Nice Day? Are 2.5rs engines built differently between 01' to 06' ?

Sorry for having to ask this, but I'm wondering if it's possible to interchange intakes / air filters and other engine performance parts that were installed on
a 03' 2.5rs onto a 06' 2.5i model.

Are there any significant changes within the engines themselves, other than the increased hp on 06' models?

I apologize for asking, I'm a newb on these things.

Do you mean aftermarket intake? Or just the air filter? I know the exhaust has been changed up a bit. I beleive a cat back and such should be still interchangeable, but might not be.

Yea, I was wondering if an aftermarket intake such as PDM would fit on my 06' engine,
but i JUST found out that it wouldn't fit. The 06' intakes are different compared to older RS engines. :S
Thx for the help tho~

05-06 has MAF while 00-04 has MAP
if i remember correctly you can try the injen intake made for 05 and i think u'll get a lot of gain from it (there was a thread in the NA forum about it, check it out)

as for the exhaust i'm sure the header and cat won't fit, not quite sure about the catback tho.

your car comes with 8 more hp than the rest of us, so just shut up and enjoy it now! (jkjk~ )
