Default 18x9.5 +44, Will it fit on STI stock struts?

Hi guys,
I am probably going to get some 18x9.5 +44 rims. I currently have Prodrive springs and lowering camber plates up front on my STI. I have stock struts on the car. I am worried that the inside of the rim will contact the strut. Or that the tire may rub on the strut as well. Does anybody have any experience with such a tire? I am hoping I do not have to get coilovers. I am not concerned about the tire rubbing on the fenders (if it does that should be easy to fix)

Thanks.
Gerry

The rim will clear the strut. The tire you choose might not though, that's a different matter.

Thanks for the response. Do you have any idea what tire would fit?

If it does not clear you can always get some 3 mil spacers if its close. You should be fine on the rim pending the offset. 38mm-35mm offset should be fine with 255 or 265 tires again depending on what brand.

You are going to need serious fender work to fit those. Especially with 265s.

Stick with 255/35/18. That should clear the strut. You're still going to need fender work. I don't think 265/35/18 will clear the strut. It's taller too which won't help things.
