Not OEM

Hella Xenon DE
4300K?

Just plain OEM halogen headlamp lowbeam [fogs not on]

Hella Xenon DE [OEM headlamps turned off]

The darken right side is because I'm parked on the left side of the road crest.

well
bling factor = 1billion
usefulness = 1

they look good if you like the look. there is a gc8 here in town with moreless the same bulbs.....bling yes...i have seen and compared headlights, and they are just enough useful light to make it worth the money.....its kinda like spending money to get 1% or 5% tint...yeah it looks good, but makes it really hard to drive at night. and is worth more trouble than its worth.

Pics from sevendhappy:

Good example of how much the optics on the EDM/JDM Sti headlights suck vs. nice quality Hella optics. So much scatter and cold and hot spots. The hella optics used in the UK300's have such a more even spread of light. both sets are halogen optics with retrofit xenon kits.

The bulbs were very cheap HID bulbs and were "fake" in the loosest sense of the word. They cost me $80 for a pair of bulbs, that should say enough about them already. They were advertised as 6000K bulbs, but they came with a blue coating which struck me as odd since I didn't think HIDs had that. Shortly after though I changed out to Philips 4100K bulbs, with one bulb alone costing more than what I got those cheap ones for. Here's a bulb comparison pic I took between the cheapo one and the Philips.

Cheap one on the left. Philips on the right.

sevendhappy, I'm disappointed in you... You of all people should know better than to go with cheapo HID bulbs... Tsk tsk.

But I must say... those UK300 looks almost OEM with its cutoff....

Here's a really crappy pic of my UK300's w/ HID's. The set-up consists of Phillips 4300K bulbs and Hella ballasts. I couldn't get right in front of the car because of the damn snow piles so the pics really don't do justice. I'm also running JDM Subaru ionized foglights w/ standard 55w H3's. I love the light pattern of the UK's and the fogs are great too. I'm also running yellow H7's in the high beams. This is good to because I can leave the high beams on in rainy/snowy weather without getting blinded. I figured the HID's are bright enough, so I really don't need an extensive high beam. Here you go:
