they're phase 1, so no. The bolts are in a straight line and not staggered.

how is that going to work with where the manifold inlet is and the cosworth oil pump?
Homemade do you have a pic of the difference of ver4 and ver7? Mine looks inline to me. |

1999-2012 are 2 out side bolts are back and 2 in the middle are center. cut the bottom mount bracket of a 99-00 wrx/sti intake manifold and cut the bottom of the 1994-98 mounting bracket and weld the 99-00 on to the bottom(making sure it all lines up) and then just clean up the ports to suit the new mounting bracket. Leo,I was going to buy 1 of them OBX copy(Tomei copy) just to have a play around with...any results on that set up so far? Kris Last edited by Rising Sun Subaru; 09-09-2011 at 02:00 AM. |

No intercooler inside. I have a gigantor front mount. It's possible that Fastech made one with an intercooler inside. The intake manifold on Fastech's drag car is bigger even than mine. Fastech is on here (PlatinumRex).

Looking good scby rex. What throttle body is that? Do you happen to know the inner diameter size of the back side (mating surface) of the throttle body?

Thank you, its the AT power 72mm designed for rogerclark motorsports. They are using a DBW now though. It bolts up perfectly to the wrc manifolds. Im not understanding the "backside" but its 72mm front to back no taper.

Sorry for the confusion...
Back side meaning opposite end of inlet. You answered my question by stating 72mm diameter with "no taper". Looks like you have a very high quality throttle body for sure. I would like to know more about your build. Do you have a thread posted? Tom |

As far as I know the Ver 4 is a phase 1 style manifold where the 4 bolts will be in line and not staggered like most of us are use to seeing. I however am not 100% on this. I never got much into the old school JDM parts. |

I am hoping I can bolt up the stage .5 ported 2.5 NA big tube short runner from ASF Machine to my JDM TGV deletes and 2011 STI throttle body...I want to get everything gasket matched from the throttle body into the intake, the intake, to the TGV's, then the 8mm phenolic spacers and finally into the heads.....
Here is to hoping.... |

No problem, and when I posted that I was at work and didn't have time to look it up but as Homemade posted the bolt patterns between ph.1 and 2 are different, that is what the spacers made by Carl Davey addresses. Then you have to widen your phase 1 mani by 12-14mm as seen here, http://www.carldavey.co.uk/product.php?id=16.

Just another guy installing a 2.5i manifold...
Does anyone know off-hand what size NPT fittings are needed to plug these holes? Are they 1/8" NPT? Last edited by 8thWonder; 06-16-2012 at 08:11 PM. |

^^update, they're not 1/8" NPT
I'm thinking they're M10-1.0 bolt size... not 100% sure though, since the only parts store within walking distance didn't carry that size. |

They wouldn't be 1/8" NPT on a Subaru, if anything they'd be 1/8" PT (also known as 1/8" BPT). Slightly different than NPT.
There are a number of 10mm fasteners on the car, can't you just pull one out to use to check? |
