^^Yes, you would want one for sure. You could run one of the accessport maps if you had an AP, but I'd rather get an open source tune, or any tune, so it would be tailored to your specific car, rather than a shelf map (one size "fits" all) from cobb. Just my opinion.

Is COBB even worth it then? Would I pay the same amount for a tune from some other place?

Yes the cobb app is worth it. You don't specifically need a tune for any cat back exhaust. But putting a ots stage 1 tune from the cobb app will be a noticeably gain from the stock tune and worth it IMO. Then when you want to put a downpipe on you can put the ots stage 2 map. Or even have a local tuner tune with your app. Or buy a map offline. The app is worth every penny.

Hmm okay, well exhaust will come first. Then save up for the AP, would you think a whole CAI with airbox and what not would be more beneficial than a downpipe?

It depends on what you'll use it for, but in 99% of cases, no, it's not worth it. I had the AP when I had my wrx. I got tuned, and the map was put on my AP. Never touched the AP again until i had to remove the AP to go back to stock, and trade in my car. Waste of $600+. Now with my STi, I got open source tuned and it's just fine. My tuner (STi Mikey, one of the best) is a good friend of mine, and he has my stock map saved. You can get an open source tune for half of what an AP costs.

And no, a CAI won't even come close to giving you the gains a DP will.

I have no problem answering any of your questions, you can PM me if you'd like, but let's not clutter the thread. Here is a sticky made by one of the mods which can answer most of your basic questions as well.

I bought a drawtite receiver and tried to put it on my car, but the exhaust is in the way. What exhaust will clear the drawtite? Thanks

(my exhaust is an ebay exhaust the car came with)

Hey guys, I'm going to be getting a new CBE here soon and I was most likely going to get the Invidia Q300 for my 2013 hatch. I've heard that it is the "quietest" aftermarket exhaust? I've never heard it in person, only in videos, but I did not think it was the quietest, obviously not the loudest, but someone with this specific exhaust could maybe clarify the dB vs stock or something? Thanks!

From what I've read, Invidia's Q300 V2 for the GR body is drones quite a lot and will give you no peace. There are several quiet exhausts that I've considered: SPT, Greddy SP Elite and the Nameless Performance axleback with the Magnaflow muffler. Can't say I've heard any of them in person but I'm planning on getting at least one of them this year.

Just go with the loudest possible exhaust that is still legal you won't regret it. I thought my CBE was really loud at first, but it doesn't seem loud at all anymore, need to get that catless dp

Im not too into having a "rediculously" loud exhaust, but it does have to sound right. CNT seems to be similar to the q300. But the q300 is almost double the price.

Check the 08-10 sedan picture thread. May find something in there, or just ask the fellows in there.

Been searching around, but couldn't find any info..

How loud is the tsudo n1 compared to stock or the Invidia n1 street/race on a wrx hatch?

Also, when is it okay to put a cbe on a brand new 2013 model wrx?

Did this system bolt up without any modifications? Right now my first choice for exhaust is the Tsudo dual tip exhaust and my last resort if the Invidia N1 catback with exhaust tip only on the passenger side. Would LOVE a Youtube video of the sound. Thanks!

Default Quick question about a scoobysport

Does anyone currently have a scoobysport exhaust they recently bought? I was looking into them and came across a few threads on forums that were form '01-03' that weren't too positive, have they changed their ways?

ScoobySport

Thanks in advance.
