I would go with a Lian Li PC65, and an Antec power supply. Those are two things you don't want to go cheap on. Why not go 10k rpm WD Raptor?

But, get rid of that powersupply. The case is just ehh. Whatever you do, don't cheap out on the powersupply. Antec powersupply should be a good choice. Also, please, do not get kingston value memory. If you're going to be doing some graphic designing or gaming, get better ram. Also, the 6600 is on its way out. I'd put some more money in and get a better vid card. |

Raptors aren't worth the small size and slight increase in speed, I would get a much bigger hard drive though.

I would go Enermax PSU, 425Watt Noisetaker
keep the case if you want but i would think about the Praetorian 108.99 X2 3800 CPU and any Nforce 4 ultra board. With some good quality memory (higher speed but low latency) If you want to keep with Intel then wait just 8 days till Newegg stock the new 975x intel chipset boards. Also get an aftermarket cpu cooler (hyper48 or the zalaman 120mm huge copper fan). And get some 700Mhz DDR2 memory |

No the video card is not.
The cpu is the entry level AMD duel core. The rest of the stuff is top notch. |

if you bought the stuff I posted you just buy a faster chip and drop it in.
AMD are releasing a new socket next year M2 that takes DDR2 but this is like the middle of the year. They will phase production of the 939 socket out at that time also. |

I dont really like Intel motherboards, Id go with MSI, EPOX, ASUS
Get better quality RAM If you just do graphic design the video card doesnt matter much. That one looks good. Dont bother with the 7800... I also like the ATI's image quality better. Maybe a X700? |

EPoX ftw, but id def get the x700 over the 66GT, because ^^ is right, in general my ATI cards look better than the nvid cards ive had. id recommend a sapphire, asus or gigabyte brand card (in order of asus, sapphire, gigabyte), stay away from powercolor imo....

AMD all the way... there are no good reason to go Intel.
Don't go with 1GB (2x512)... get 2 GBs to begin with. The way you are doing it would limit your expandability in the future. Concerning the printer - while I do much prefer Epson - if you are doing any type of paper proofs, you might want to go with one of the Espon 7-color printers. Not sure if the one you posted uses a 'regular' 3color+K or if it is one of the newer ones that has like 7-color inks. |
