Your DIY stuff is great, but your taste seems completely off what i have ever seen imo not in a very good way. I see the all wheel drive sticker makes sense then but still the stripe is what made me want to go on a shooting spree. It makes it look like your trying to stand out like its something amazing. Although sabaru is rare i would not put a giant racing stripe on my wagon in a attempt to get people to look at my car. Stick to more DIY + tasteful visual /performance mods

Hilarious, and I'm normally the grammar Nazi. Stripe's there, I like the look of it, not for the sake of being different. Only thing I wish is that more of my performance items would be ready, I find these forums are always kinder when you modify engines and suspension with looks. Only other appearance mod I'm doing is a front lip, so the Internet can rest easy soon.

While I will say that those cars are somewhat unique, I think that they are kind of ugly. Sadly I feel that you are taking an already ugly car and making it uglier. BUT it is your car and you are welcome to do as you please. Good luck with the project.

Honestly, opinions like this make a lot more sense- there's a few Subaru models and weird mods on here that I can't stand but it's really point of preference and comes down to quality if I'm going to throw out real criticism. Hellaflush looks lame to me a lot of the time, especially with overly stretched tires. However, if someone can do it and not bang the crap out of their fenders or drive around with a lip cracked to s**t, more power to them.

What's the ethical call on banning your wife^^^ from your build thread?

This is supposed to be a build thread, but all this guy is doing is ruining a car by painting cheap plastic caps under a hood. Lets not forget the ghetto rigged shifter. Pretty lame.

There are plenty worse ways to ruin a car than that, don't get me started... To be fair, I've had a backlog of parts stuck in the east coast and China, not to mention scheduling issues on a not yet released exhaust. Too much cosmetic work, but you'd wait on these parts too rather than do them halfway, and I'd rather not let it just sit there and gather dust.

A few new items over the weekend-

New shifter; the 'lip' at the top of the pistol grip started to bug me. This had the width I like, was tall enough for my meathooks, superior appearance and even worked with my custom 5 speed logo:

Saw the Silverstar bulbs were on special at all stores this month so I said what the hell and tried the ZXE's. The new bulb is on the passenger side and man, is it whiter. The pic doesn't show great contrast, but i wanted to gibe some idea. Just save the receipt so you can swap when they burn out after 6 months:

Got in on the Grimspeed radiator shield group buy, amazed at how much I used that tool tray already:

Last but not least, I'm almost done with my wagon 'tub' and will post that soon. In the meantime I fashioned up a lower rear seat pair of quick release pins so I can easily lay the cargo area flat:

Here's a quick DIY: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2431817

Pm me the details on how to get an Odin Brewing sample pack please

but on a serious note what wilwoods are those? Look like billet dynalite calipers. I have a set on my wagon. Stop great!!! I would recommend the wilwood bp20

edit: Nevermind I see the perrin logon on the caliper brackets. If you need any help with parts or rebuilding or installing lemme know. I just went through the whole process. It was a pain in the ass since that kid hasn't been made since like 04. I actually had to talk to Jeff Perrin to find out the info I needed.

I get a lot of questions about the brewery, so if anyone is looking, try the following:

Maltandvine.com
Letspour.com
Beerjobber.com (full cases only)

We don't do shipping ourselves so there isn't an official sampler pack, but you can build one on the top 2 sites.

Thanks for the heads up- the calipers are supposed to be in good working order, but even though some hate my stripes I try to make as much as possible look new on my cars, so it's a cosmetic project. Already have new bolts, bleeder screws and paint, just need to take an impact wrench to one bolt and I should be well on my way to some purtyness under the rims.

Forgot to note- I got BP10s, didn't need the heat tolerance of 20s.

Paint your wheels white. It might help tie in the stripe.

Maybe on aftermarket rims, but I'm one of the only guys with a set of 16" and 17" 9-2x rims (hence the Wilwoods), so I'm having a hard time letting go of them. Maybe I'll paint my front mount white...

^^^ that's a joke, not gonna be my own troll.

I think it would look good if you take apart the headlights and black out the chrome, as well as black out the chrome on the grills.

I also redid the quick release pins for a cleaner look and updated the DIY- no more hand-curled wire anymore:

Just keep and eye on the calipers for brake fluid seepage or leaking around the pistons. Since the calipers don't have dust seals they wear out faster.
